You have to have a disk in the drive in order for it to show up in 'browse media'. Other than that I can't really think of a reason why you shouldn't see it.
I have searched a lot for this but to no avail. Basically have an external USB DVD drive which works fine through windows and windvd etc. It is selected as the DVD drive in ME config but I can't get it to appear in the browse media window and thus I can't use it in ME. Can someone suggest a reason or, better yet, a fix?
I don't think it's a problem with my dvd drive as it works fine in everything else. Is there something I can do to 'tell' media engine that a dvd is present?
