Not any time soon, no.
I have seen it lightly mentioned once, but with no answer. Is there any future plans of putting Sirius as a option along with Xm?

Crap, XM coverage around here sucks.
I want to use media engine to control my alp1 becuase I need the optical out. I would even pay for this feature of media engine since I love the interface so much. I really don't want to use RR (althought i'm not familiar with it..) or this other windows program to run my sat radio. And I don't want to add the XM tuner becuase it's analog!!! grrrrr
MarkCC4,
I am with you! I would love to control Sirius in ME and would be willing to pay =)
I came across this post a few days ago when I was searching the net. I was wondering if anyone had a client out to control sirius for Linux. I pretty much came up with nothing. However, that is good because I started work on an app about 7-8 months ago. Right now it works great. It's very limited but, it gets the job done. Currently there is no gui. You can turn the raido on/off change channels - mute/unmute - control the units gain. I had lost interest in the project and I didn't think anyone really cared so, I quit working on it. I think I'm going to get back into it. If your interested I will post a link to the small app in a few days. I have to work out some very minor bugs. At the very least you will be able to listen to and control the unit. You just wont be able to see anything. I have never heard of media engine but, it would probably not be hard to integrate this into it. I'll download the code have a look at it and think about it. I don't see the need though if you can launch externel apps from it. I currently have it working with the SirAlp serial interface from MitchJs. I don't have a usb model so, if you need usb support you are out of luck right now. I'm thinking about purchasing the usb interface so, I can add support for it. Let me know what you think.
My mistake. Maybe I should start reading before I post. I thought media engine was a linux app. Oh well. If anyone is interested in a native linux app to control Sirius let me know.
make it for ME Im sure that alot of people would love that, I know that I would.
