Thread: The Hibernation Blues: LineIn Mute, XM not playing

Would you be willing to test a build for me and report back if it's working correctly? I don't have a box I can test XM with and code on simultaneously.

Actually what's happening is the receiver isn't being put back into 'standby' mode so you're still hearing whatever it was tuned to. I'll try to take a look at where this got broken. In the mean time you can set your line in to a muted state from window's mixer app and M/E should maintain that setting whenever you're not listening to XM.

Someone else has mentioned this - again I'll look into it. I'm currently trying to isolate a bug that prevents channel changes when the XM receiver 'goes to sleep' - it's the type of thing that's really hard to reproduce and even more difficult to debug, so it could be a while before I look at your issue.

Oh, and I had another question unrelated to all of this:
The embedded GPS is a great feature of ME that makes it feel more "factory", but there's one problem... I'm using iGuidance and there is an ugly gray tool bar on top and bottom. I use the feature that makes it look a little better by taking away the title bar. Is there a way to manually adjust the resolution of the IG app? That way I can adjust the resolution of IG until ME totally covers up the gray areas. This would make ME flow together a lot better. I believe CentraFuse does this, not sure how though.

I almost forgot another big hibernation problem! The mouse doesn't hide after hibernation, and nothing gives away a stock feel with a mouse pointer going all over the screen .

There's no way to set the client (GPS) app to a specific size. Also, I've checked and double-checked the code that hides the pointer when resuming from suspend/hibernate. I'm not sure why it doesn't always work, but one easy way to fix it is to set your cursors to a transparent one in windows control panel (ELO installs an 'invisible' pointer with it's drivers, for example).
