Sound is ok, picture's a little jerky. Being a memory-constrained box, I'm not surprised.

It'll be a few days before I can investigate further. I definately had the codecs at the start of this whole process (I could play dvd's with WMP) but now I can't, so I've done something stupid.![]()

You might experiment with different DVD player apps and see if your playback smooths out. I've had the best luck with PowerDVD 4.0, but YMMV. I may be off-base, but I wouldn't think memory would be as much of a factor with DVD playback as is disk throughput and CPU. A decent graphics adapter doesn't hurt either.
