Not sure what is available. Seems to be much talk of iNav. I am just getting around to setting up my BU-353 GPS and would like to know what options there are. Something that works with NaviVoice would be great.

I use DeLorme Street Atlas. It takes voice commands and text to speech turn by turn. Simple one window interface so mediaengine snags it with no issues.
Downside is it's not free.
Cool. I wish they all had free trials so I could test run them. I was able to test iGuidance and it will probably work, but I was not overly impressed. CoPilot sounded intriguing...
I don't want to make this sound like an official endorsement (coming from a developer) but I've been using RoadNav for the last couple months and I find it to be an excellent free, open source alternative to commercial GPS packages.
One of the things I see as a major drawback is that you have to download all the maps you'll need and then compile them ahead of time. This can tie up a relatively fast pc and your internet connection for the better part of a day. Also it's a US only option at this time since it uses US Census maps. Lastly it can be a bit sluggish at times.
On the positive site, the skins are easily customizable and in general the application is extremely friendly to both touchscreen and automotive environments (it automatically searches serial ports for a GPS receiver and tracks your position if it finds one).
I use MapMonkey at the moment. Only because it's free and I have Destinator Maps for Australia to use with it. It 'is' a bit quirky but once you get used to it's flaws, it seems to run ok.
RoadNav looks nice and simple. I just wish there was Australian maps tho.
Thanks for the suggestions. Gave Roadnav a shot, because the price is right, but moving the map was jerking on my desktop PC and it would not save any street addresses, although it would happily add any location I touched on the map. The directions came out in a DOS prompt, which would be kind of hard to read on a 7" LCD.
Really I have no problem with spending money on the GPS software, because honestly whatever I buy will be cheaper or easier to read than a stock or handheld system. Mostly concerned with getting something solid.
Does Delorme have an OSK or 3D view? I think I like the look of the maps on it the best.
The new CoPilot Live feature is really attractive - being able to get realtime traffic rerouting would be awesome! It doesn't work in most frontends though, because of the way they programmed it.

Im using Iguidance 4.0 with the Microsoft GPS antenna and it works great for me. I started with Version 3.0 and it has worked fine for me
