Generally speaking, the only tags the reader library won't handle are ones packed with zlib (zip compression). Unless you also have lyrics included zip compression of <1kb of data is pretty much pointless.
For future reference, you'll need to manually force a database update any time only the content of your files change. The auto-update routine only counts the number of files and compares it to the record count in the database, so it wouldn't have triggered a rebuild for your instance.
I wonder if the tagging software was writing compressed tags then. Anyway, whatever was causing it, It's solved now.
That's what I thought re the database updates, I was pretty sure it had flashed up saying getting file count. Hence I deleted and got it to rebuild.
Thanks again for your help it's been very useful.
Any chance of a few bits of help with the skin maker? :o)
Again, glad to be able to help.
On the skinmaker questions, you've picked my least favorite and least informed subject. I'll give you as much as I can, but you'll have to forgive me if it falls short of being helpful.
Cheers. The skinmaker questions aren't too bad..(I hope) I think the answer to the first query is no, and hopefully the second is simply me not seeing the right file when I looked.
