I never had this error neither under Win 2000 nor Win XP and I use also always the suspend (STR).

Which OS do you use ?

Tried changing power management settings under XP & bios!

Coyote, coyote , coyote! Remember the above error?? Did you get anywhere?

    I had a play....

MapPoint, Mappoint + AGPS and NetStumbler all work as expected outside MediaCar, resume from standby/hibernation ok.

MapPoint, Mappoint + AGPS and NetStumbler launched from the Launch button in MediaCar work fine as well, resume from standby/hibernation ok.

Using the GPS module (with MapPoint obviously), I get the above error message when resuming from standby/hibernation.

Using the GPS module with MapPoint & AGPS (funny! Looks like the two location icons are racing!! ), when resuming from standby/hibernation, I get the above error BUT AGPS keeps working! The AGPS location icon keeps moving along the map - see pic - http://www.cynian.net/photos/other/mediacar1.jpg.

Any ideas? It would be nice not to have to exit GPS(if running) before I pull the key out.

    Run-time error '68' Device unavailable

    Coyote,

I re-installed the application on the C: drive instead of the d: drive, and I disabled id3 tags (I know.... I should have tried one at a time...)

Now working great, I do not have a cdrom. It is a fujitsu stylistic LT pentablet.

Mediacar brought life back to my carpc project. I want a clean install, without keyboards/remotes/etc, but win98 was not desinged to be used with a small toughscreen. Mediacar fixes that!

keep up the good work, can't wait to get the onscreen keyboard :-))

I don't know if this is a bug or not, just some odd behavior I encountered this evening. I was playing a playlist, added a song to the playlist, saved, went back to the music player screen (worked fine), added a second song (BTW is there a way to search when editing a playlist), saved and as I clicked the icon or the music player screen, the screen refreshed, and ME was loading again (updating database). After updating database, it refreshed and started over, got stuck in this loop. CTRL-ALT-DEL, killed the process, restarted app and still broken. Uninstalled, re-installed, still broken. To solve the problem I had to uninstall, then delete the directory it had been installed in, then reinstall. Been working fine since, and as a note, the playlist I was editing at the time had both of the changes I had made and saved. I think I'm using the most recent version 2.0. I have no files to offer (log files, etc) I was too intent on getting the awesome software working again to think to save them before blowing out the directory.
if you have any questions, leave a post or e-mail me @ gmijackso@yahoo.com I'll try to remember to check it.

I think that you are in the wrong forum, it is MediCar here and not ME

berty, do your subfolders go more than one level down? As I think, only think, that Select+ only works for one level down. I may be wrong here!
coyote, I think you got it so that Select+ goes down 2 levels, but hows about going down as many levels as there is?

    I have my music in:
    Genre1\Artist\Album\Song.ogg
    Genre2\Artist1\Album3\song.ogg

and would like to be able to select an entire genre, but it only goes down 2 levels looking for music, so gives a blank playlist.

    file extension bug

I noticed an error when I wanted to play my MOD files with MediaCar (which are also supported by winamp).
.MOD and .S3M files do appear in the Playlist, but .XM files don't appear. Seems to be a problem with two character extensions...

Three and four characters extentions are supported but I had not thought to the possibility to use two characters extentions, I will add this feature in the next versions

    Coyote, Routing is looking good!

But...I get an error when I select Country, City, Street or Post Code when adding a route.

    Error Number 5
    Invalid procedure call or argument

    Debug Information
    MediaCar.Frm.MapPoint.Location.TxtOn

It errors around 80% of the time but not always! Doesn't happen on my Desktop but on my carpc, Any ideas?

Edit: Bug appears on desktop pc too! just not as often!

Also still get the error mentioned before in this thread after resuming from standby with GPS window open.

Ok, Got it! When clicking in Country/City/Postcode/Street, if you move your mouse at the same time you get the error! That's why it happened more often with my touchscreen - I'm all fingers and thumbs with that!
