Is it possible to reset GPS device other than restart mediacar program. After coming out from standby/hibernate GPS is not detectable, so it has to be reset.

I don't have Mappoint 2004 at this time then I don't know what occurs with it and what is different between the 2002 and the 2004 version. I will try to find the 2004 version.

Going to re-install MediaCar to see if that cures it.

I have the same problem, I will correct that

For this time, to reset the map you can delete the file "map.ptm" from the mediacar folder, this file is the backup of the current map

When in the mp3 player I press ESC it takes me to the main menu but when I'm in the DIVX player or GPS screen and I press esc it taskes me to the exit screen.

Please can you have a look at this.

I use Windvd4 in my car pc. When I ckick the DVD button in MC (to invoke Windvd), it plays full screen, but the windows taskbar remains on the bottom of the screen. When I start Windvd from the desktop, it plays full screen with NO taskbar.

So, how do I get rid of the taskbar when playing dvd's from MC?

If you start up with a skin that has a font specified that is not installed on the system, you get "360 - Object already loaded"

Would it be possible to give a nicer error message for this?

I am using a via m10000 with the built on 5.1 channel audio. When I launch Mediacar the option to control the volume is not available, the volume percentage is set to 0% and when i press the volume buttons they do nothing. also when i go into the mixer via mediacar, it won't allow me to change the volume of anything but the winamp volume controls labeled "winamp" and "preamp".

when i run setup and just hit "ok" it starts up mediacar and i have full volume controls again, but that is currently the only way to regain audio controls. though when you do turn up the volume via normal mp3 audio play screen, it will control only the front speaker input volume control, instead of the overall master volume control.

any ideas what can be causing this? i thought it was working fine when i first installed it, and i did nothing to any of the audio options.

Noticed the EQ, Bass and Treble are not working on my PC.. I read Bass and Trebel may not work on some cards but I figure the EQ should work since it does with normal Winamp on the same PC...

**EDIT** I went back and looked and it was on the first bloody page of this thread lol.. shows what some reading will do eh... Bass and Trebel still no go but prolly my cheap SoundBlaster card in my Home PC...

But another idea.. Since some ppl dont have a Keyboard hooked up to there Carputer (atleast I wont have) can you make the Preamp lable an activator for it or place a button somewhere?
