If it is winnt/2000/xp, check Event Log (ControlPanel->Administative Tools). Sometimes OS writes something there before BSOD.Originally Posted by Twizted

Ohhh I never thought of that... I will have to make sure to chk that next time it happens... I played it for a long time last night and even watched a full movie with it and it never happened but I am not holding my breath.... I will try to keep an eye on it and see if I can catch it... Thanks for the infoOriginally Posted by leon_id
The (dark)blue screens in win2k/XP are different to the old (light)blue screens in win95/98/me. If it's 2k/Xp, it's actually a "stop error" screen.Originally Posted by Twizted
Stop errors are very low level problems. If they happen randomly, it's usually due to flakey hardware on it's last legs e.g. bad RAM stick. If it happens regularly, it can be because of a major device driver error e.g. having VIA 4-in-1 drivers installed with a non-VIA chipset mobo did this to me once.
Found one small thing.. Not sure if its just due to playing a .m3u file but on shuffle I noticed it repeats songs alot... I can be skipping forward and it will play on that it pasted again within a few forward clicks... and I am talking about a 177 song playlist which should be able to be randomized resonably well..
.... Just tested and it done it on a playlist that was choosen from files out of a folder..
give it a try and see what happens..
OK I played MediaCar all night and when I work up I was at a login screen for windows meaning it rebooted... And I looked into the event viewer and found a reboot at around 4:25am which is below
Dont know if that is going to help any but that is all I see as far as a reboot last night or anything else that may have caused it..Code:Event Type: Information Event Source: Save Dump Event Category: None Event ID: 1001 Date: 1/14/2004 Time: 4:25:13 AM User: N/A Computer: DRAGON-TOWER-1 Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. If I load any album into the mp3 screen the tag names will happliy change when the song reaches the end and moves on to the next one.
But while I'm using the GPS system the tag names don't change when the song reaches the end of the track and the next one plays.
To explain futher when I start up the GPS system I'm on track 1 "1-Bad-MJ" but after listening to that it should display track 2's tag name but it doesn't, it still displays track 1 "1-BAD-MJ. After track 2 finishes track 3 starts playing still the tag name displayed is track 1 "1 -BAD-MJ". Also if I press the ff>> button then the sytem will not move to track 4 but instead it starts to play track 2 with the correct tag name of "2-Changes-MJ", wierd no?
Been told this is a bug so I'm listing it here.
