I have one of those multimedia keyboards (ie. with a dvd, web, etc button), and I cannot get the shortcuts to recognize them. All the buttons come up with the same keycode.
Btw, excellent application! I have a basic launcher application I wrote in .NET, but nowhere near as finished as yours!
Thanks again!

play song Happydancesong from playlist A. Pause it. Load playlist B, and the screen will say it's playing song Normalclassicalmusic from playlist B, but it's actually playing song Happydancesong still.
Hrmm I dont have ANY of the above problems.. but I found one that's probably just isolated to me? I cant believe it.
Okay lets say I open mediacar and head to music. Then start playing songs. I put on a vis and it goes full screen. That's fine. I can touch the screen and the vis will close and I'll be back at mediacar.
But sometimes.. SOMETIMES! I play a song and hit the vis and it will go fullscreen. THen I just leave it there. After a while it goes back to mediacar playlist! That's the problem. Why does it go back to the playlist when I didnt touch anything?
THe problem with this is because when it goes back to mediacar, i touch a button.. it goes back to the vis.. and then I'm stuck because i cant touch anything on the screen to exit the vis (unless i have a keyboard attached then i can press ESC)
I think when you hit the VIS button the next touch on the screen you hit after that will function as ALT-TAB, that is why it goes back to mediacar - theoretically. But some bug is causing mediacar to go to the foreground while the vis is running, so the NEXT time I hit the touchscreen after the VIS button it will alt-tab back to the vis and I lose control of mediacar.
Does anyone understand what Im saying?

I keep getting a sorry the codecs seem nto to be installed when i try to start a video i have installed a number of codecs and was wondering if there is a particular version of the codecs and location needed to get the video working.

I have a cmedia 8738 pci soundcard and when I use the volume buttons in mediacar the balance goes alltheway to the left channel. Samething happens when mixer is used. It works fine with plain winamp. Whats the prob???
When I click vis, I just get a black screen that flashes then goes back to mediacar. Like it's trying to open but no dice, I tried unchecking "embed visuals" but that did nothing. I'm using the onboard sound for now no M-audio "gave up after an hour".Originally Posted by welthqa
I'm running an Epiah M 10000, I too am suffering the M-audio issues it's very flaky, last night before I discontinued use of the sonica, I'd plug the D-link radio in, open mediacar, then if it didn't error out right there, I'd try to start the radio, it would load but no sound, then after about 5 seconds in the radio module, the machine would simply reboot... no error messages, no nothing, just reboot and give the "your system has just recovered from a serious crash" message or whatever generic message it feeds you after something like that.
Should I just scrap the M-audio and get a Audigy?
Hi Coyote,
Thanks for MediaCar 1.9 overall it's a great product....
but it seems that the dwell time om your Dlink FM radio is to low.
With other words your application seems to wait to short time at each frequency step in Local and Scan mode because it does not finds all radio station.
I tried to compare my own station scan routine with your and I find more stations than you. The only visible difference is your application is scanning a lot faster than mine, but the cost is the number found stations.
I know that the speed is also important so a compromise could be the possibility to set a dwell time in the MediaCar Setup.
Unfortunally is your optimization routine also not optimal as well but this could also be the dwell time, but I am not sure. It seems that my optimization routine gets less noisy stations with hum due to frequency offset.
What do you think about the radio skin and functions ?
