I have a strange problem winth GPS:

I installed Mappoint 2004 Europe, and if I run it alone, GPS locations work perfectly. They also work with AGPS if MediaCar is not launched. When I try to use MediaCar GPS funtions, in the moment I press the mode button to set it to "POS" mode, MediaCar hangs. A couple of minutes later a system message appears, saying that resources are too low and suggests to close MediaCar. Any Ideas?

Specs: Celeron 400Mhz 64 Mb RAM running W98
    GPS unit: Fortuna U2 USB

I never had this error neither under Win 2000 nor Win XP and I use also always the suspend (STR).

Which OS do you use ?
Yo Coyote, I just checked on mine and as I thought, I get the same error message as Naamanf. This is after I have GPS (MapPoint) running and then Hibernate the pc. When I resume it opens back to GPS, as it should, but with the error box in the middle.

Tried changing power management settings under XP & bios!

berty, do your subfolders go more than one level down? As I think, only think, that Select+ only works for one level down. I may be wrong here!

Well, I'm just now sending 2004 Europe to 255.255.255.255

Now, serious. All of you have MapPoint 2002? Any issues with 2002+MediaCar+GPS is working OK for everyone?

If you aren't having any problems, I will try to install Mappoint 2002 and the manually update the maps as with the Autoroute trick... Don't know if it will work, but damn it can't go worse

When using the fireskull skin and using the arrow keys to select the apps I get run-timeerror '5'. I guess it's trying to load the radio button that has been removed and errors

    not really a bug

Great software!! My GPS software street atlas 2004 takes 30 to 40 seconds to load and the highest I can set the time out is 32. If I make it more than that MediaCar gives me an error that says 'file not found' (GPS exe file). Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Very slow on winamp visualisations

It has never been a problem on my desktop machine because I have a decent video card in it, but I've noticed that some of the more intensive visualisations on my Epia run quite badly under mediacar, yet are fine and running at acceptable fps under media engine, or just using winamp alone. So im not sure if Mediacar is doing some post processing onto the visualisations or what which is making things run rather chunky. Cheers

    Michael
