Is it possible to make Mediacar work with the Powermate, such that rotating the knob moves the button with the focus around and clicking selects the button? This would offer a nice alternative to using touchscreen or remote.
Can this be done with something like Girder?

Now this would be sweet. Has any progress been made with it?
The skin structure modification between the 1.8.4 and the 1.8.5 was also made to prepare this functionality, it remains a little work now to implement the navigation into all the interface only with 3 shortcuts

I've got a pulsing Powermate just waiting for MediaCar support. I've just tried to configure the powermate, but it doesn't appear to work. Is it me, the Powermate, or MediaCar?

Hi,
using Powermate is possible, I did it this way:
Long Press = Send Key 'L' (List in Musicplayer)
Press = Right arrow (in Mediaplayer it's "Next song", in Directory it's "Select")
Rotate Left/Right = Volume up/down
Press and Rotate Left/Right = Arrow up/down
That's enough to control everything important while playing music...
But, for sure, native Powermate Support within Mediacar would be great because it's not possible to switch between the buttons, yet.
For those who don't know what a Powermate is....
