in girder if i select shutdown the pc shuts down and then brings up the "it is now safe to turn off your computer screen" and u have to press the power button for it to turn off, if i selct power off the pc shutsdown and turns itself off. dunno if this is of any help or not

    Yes, it's right

In the next version I replaced the "ShutDown" by "Hibernate" and kept the "Power Off".

    Power Off/Shutdown Problem

When I try to Power Off from MediaCar in Windows2000 Professional, the program exits and I am at the Windows desktop for a couple of minutes before it really begins to shut off properly.
During the time between clicking 'Power Off' and the real Shutdown I can start no Application because Windows says that the workstation is shutting down.

I wonder why it is taking so long...somebody having the same problem?

    Stefan

P.S. Thanks for this great Application. I like the fact that MediaCar is based on Winamp rather than on MediaPlayer because so I can listen to my .mod and .xm tunes. (which is impossible on WMP)

Windows is probably flushing the pagefile, this can be turned of through the registry.
