How about a LOUDNESS option?

It has been discussed on this forum before - the lack of a LOUDNESS control on many of the audio player software. Your car stereo has it...so why has it not showed up in the sowftware? It really IS needed - lack of bass & highs at low volumes.

Sooo - can this be added to MediaCar? It should be a variable boost (full boost at low volume, tapering off to no boost at 100% volume). Since you allready control tone (via the EQ) I would think this would not be too difficult to implement. How about letting the user define his own boost levels? Now that would be sweet. Example: Boost bass & trebble by 6db at 1% volume, gradually taper off to 0 db at 100% volume.

What does everyone think?

That could certainly work, as both Winamp and WMP have Pre-amp or audio boost options. The pain in the neck stems from trying to programmatically access those. (At least it does for me.)

great idea, but i think the requests are on hold right now. So im sure in the future this may be implemented

If theres already a winamp plug-in to do this then things will be about 10x easier.
