I use Mappoint 2004 and Delorme Earthmate. This works pretty good in MediaCar. The only complaint I have is that map colors are white roads on beige background, which is not very readable and cannot be adjusted AFAIK.
What GPS reciever/Software combo are you guys using (stateside) such that the maps look like they're integrated into MediaCar??
Thanks,
Landon

The colors of the roads in mappoint are unfortunately not customizable

The first Belgian PC fully integrated in a car :)
I have the same question actually ! I am using copilot 2001 soft+antena
and I just installed mappoint 2004 on my carpc, but I can not make my usb copilot to be maped into a com port so that mappoints can detect it ! any ideas !?
Also, I read that mappoint doesnt support routing !? what does that means? that if I go of course it will not tell me how to get back !?
If I need to change my gps in order for mappoint to work, can I get the Delorme Earthmate USB version? I know they have a driver to map the usb to serial port so that mapping softwares can detect it via com port will work, is that how you have it installed or you have the serial version?
Thanks
Nick

Have you guys tried destinator?
The 3D night skin looks awesome with febsperanza's skins.
Cheers,
Here is an add-in to Mappoint that makes it do routing. http://www.techgt.com/AGPS/default.htm .Originally Posted by villarsrl
The usb-serial drivers that come with the Earthmate make it appear as a com port to mappoint.
