Now it's time to get greedy...

    Garry,
Any interest in implementing a scrolling label that would display the ID3 information. This was on my wish list for Coyotes GPS mods. I was hoping to eliminate the date and time at the top left and have the current song info scroll in a text box. Along with the next/previous track buttons-which you've already taken care of-this would satisfy all my wishes for the GPS. Atleast until Destinator's SDK3 comes out.
    Thanks-
    Rick

    Rick,

Awesome work so far I'm glad to see that the buttons stay on top of the Destinator window...it's something i hadn't tested I'm glad others are starting to "think out of the box" as it were

Also...do you know, that in the Winamp SDK, there isn't a way to get the ID3 tag of the currently playing song? No. Well you do now. How ****ing stupid is that!

The only issues I've noticed with the buttons is that when you click on them MediaCar loses focus and then the task bar pops up unless you have it set to auto hide. You just have to click on the top-title bar to get the focus back to Media Car. You also have the mouse arrow showing up. Bottom line, I can now switch tracks from the GPS window and that makes me happy. It's amazing that WinAmp doesn't make the ID3 tags available. I'd definately like a scrolling or even static song title displayed, but I can live without it.

I have loaded the externaldest file as per instructions and it works well.

    However:

    If I run the GPS
then press the arrow key to go back to the menu
    then exit mediacar
    then rerun mediacar
    then press the GPS button

I get an error about the program already being loaded and other ini file errors.

If I run task manager there is still a program called dest2 running even with mediacar not running.

    StuBFrost,

I feel this is an issue with MediaCar. I have had reports from Jamez_Warner of this occuring, but have not been able to have a look yet and see if I can fix this problem.

For now, be sure to press X rather than the arrow when you know you will be exiting MediaCar.

I've experienced the same. Just thought I'd let you know.
