Destinator with Speed/Bearing, and Winamp control

I've been busy...again! ;)

Basically...put the .jpg and .skin files in your skin directory and put the ExternalDest.exe file in your MediaCar root folder. :)

Go into MediaCar Setup, and then under GPS, change the "External GPS Location" to point to the ExternalDest.exe file, and make it run embedded, with a search string of *externaldest*

When you run GPS, use External :)

If you're playing music, you can also control previous/next track..i couldn't quite figure out volume yet ;)

Fixed:
Was not loading, hanging using 99% CPU power, due to no skin files. Fixed. Now gives error messages if it can't find the skin files.

Bug i introduced in last "fix" which set the analog dial to a set place..it was my testing ;)
Added:
Can now define image files for both KM and Miles, and the range for each.
Can set whether you want to display in Miles, Kilometers, or use Destinator settings. Change the U section in the .skin file to M, K or D as required.
Will check every 10 seconds for MediaCar being open. If it's not open, then the program will close, so that it can be opened again the next time you start MediaCar. This also means it won't run if MediaCar isn't open ;)

Fixed:
Task bar appears when you click in the app.
Analog Speedo will not display until Destinator is fully loaded, and This means it won't show one graphic, then switch to another (this was annoying me more than you I guess ;))
Added:
Ability to set it to 3d mode on startup. Change this in the .skin file if you don't.

Now reads from the UK Speed Camera database, and shows a visible warning, and plays a sound file when you are approaching a speed camera. Due to Destinator, it can't show exactly where the camera is, but it will help for you to be a little more aware ;) Other countries can just add a .csv file with the columns Longitude,Latitude
Get the update here - Copy files to the MediaCar directory, and the .skin files from the relevent directories based on your resolution, overwriting the existing ones

I wanted to ask you a thing:
the indicator of speed' you can also be done in formality " KM " instead that only in " M " ;)
In European the way is used KM and not M. Would it be beautiful even that setting the way in Destinator configure automatically KM or M choosing the way appeared the skin with the indicator of speed' in the formality' setting. ;)
True the buttons that I had drawn with Destinator are well? :)
Would make a beautiful thing for many of us!

PS:the maps of Destinator3 hi haved tested whit Destinator2 SDK ,and work correctly enough, however' I had available for now that of Hungary, and not in Italy where I live. if I succeed in finding that of Italy or better in Europe (EMULE) I try then I make to know in the forum. Who has already' tried makes to know

I have tried your new software of destinator together with Mediacar 1.9.
There are some problems however.'
The first time that launches it all ok.
If I close Mediacar and then I reopen, launching again Destinator with EXTERNAL, Windows XP communicates me this error:

MEMORY PROBLEM!
MAY BE PROGRAMM ALREADY LAUNCHED...

If I give' OK writes another error:

INI DATE NOT SAVED...

From thing it is able' to depend according to you?

Besides if I use 640 as gives for the keyboard in the file destinator.ini, this is not visualized in full in length. I use a resolution 800x600 in the file Destinator.ini.

You as have setting these parameters?

I attach under as I have setting the throwing of your software in Mediacard.Its OK? :confused:

Haven't tried it in the car with the GPS yet, but on my homecomputer it works great. I had problems at first, the program didn't want to open embedded, but it solved itself.

Garry? How does it go with my Dlink?

just crashes mediacar - D2 installed, with mediacar 1.9 CNS skin with 1.9 update and your 800x600 gps update...

If you are using KM in Destinator, the "digital" section will automatically adjust to display in KM. The speed as shown on the analogue dial will also be KM. However, of course, the graphics would need to be changed to reflect it's in KM, and the RMx value to the maximum value in KM you want to display.

I also found that problem when I closed MediaCar without closing (X) the GPS application itself first. I think it's how MediaCar deals with closing external applications on exit. I'll talk to coyote about it.

what about using that with street atlas, Strrets and trips, and mappoint?
I personally use mappoint, thats cause I do not own destinator.

confused - i have the SDK installed - when it crashes your app is just sitting there using 100% CPU, any ideas whats up?
