    Dlink Radio reboot computer

    Hi Guys,

I just installed the latest version of Mediacar and the Dlink DSB-R100 usb radio card and tested it with Radiator. It is working perfectly but when I tried it with MediaCar, the computer would blue screen and reboot after a few seconds. I noticed that a few people also have this problem too but didn't see and resolution. Does anyone know what's going on.

No resolution as yet, I have 2 systems, one it reboots on and one it doesn't. It will last anything from a few secs to 2 or 3 mins. Really annoying. Only seems to be when winamp and the in-line plugin is used. Not an issue under radiator.

Both systems are XP pro with SIS chipsets, but the good one is AMD and the bad one is Intel.

I have done a clean install on both. I am very frustrated by this problem.

I'm sure there are more people out there that have run into this problem and have a resolution for it. everything works fine in Radiator but the moment i start the radio in mediacar, my computer will reboot.

Craigyb: how do you adjust the line-in in winamp to get rid of the problem?

Same thing is happening to me... I used MediaCar and the dlink on my laptop and it worked perfect, but with a fresh install on my M10000 it reboots. As soon as you go into the Radio section it reboots the computer.

Try using a powered USB hub (pref. 5v so you can power it from your computer's 5v line). My computer used to crash because i was drawing too much power on the USB port.

I didn't need the hub, I only had 2 USB devices (and the epia has 2 back ports), I just needed the power in order to keep it from restarting.
