Sweet. Good Job mobile1 I cant wait until i get to the point where i can test this out. I have this horrible alternator whine over my speakers I have my whole system tore apart trying to track it down

I had a similiar whine in my car... I ended up just putting an extra ground wire from my power supply to the ground on my power amp and it went away...

I have most of the features put in, it will now fix Leddy's problem where he has two devices with the same name. I cannot test that, but the code is obvious where it would fail.

I cannot get the mirror to work, I get the PIN associated with the preview, but then when I call setMode on it, the call never returns. I'll fix that somehow. Must be some directX nastiness.

The windows now move etc properly, I had a bug before where it would get messed up.

I have also been in contact with the guy who wrote speedfan, which pulls SMART data from the hard drive and voltage sensors. He is ok with me using his program as an in-process slave and pull from its shared memory. I should be able to put together an app that you embed that reports voltage and hard drive statistics.

Can those interested in this app please try the attached.

The zip file should be extracted to the Launch folder in media car.

Remove any previous installation for FullscreenTv please.

You will *need* to modify the ini file in the fullscreentv folder if you installed Media Car to somewhere other than \program files\media car

Leddy, your fix to support multiple same-name devices is to edit the ini and change:

use_clsid=1

By default no_move is on, to block accidently moving the window around.

It embeds perfectly here, see screenshot.

The damn mirror feature is not implemented though. I am still stuck on that one.

Please would give this a try and let me know how it works.

Also, the feature requests that are still outstanding.

Someone mentioned splitscreen. This is do-able, but quite a bit of work given the way the app was originally written.

I was thinking about text overlays, but I couldnt think of anythings useful to overlay!

Using cls_id I see the ID numbers instead of names however they are the same #

switching between them still shows same camera

choosing device=1 or 2 still puts the check mark on the correct item, feed still same camera though

they have the same CLSID, wow, thats suprising! I thought everything had its own unique GUID. Oh well, I'll have to use something else. The code isnt really structured to use an ordinal, and apparently enumerating the capture devices isnt guarenteed to happen in the same order always, thats why I went for the CLSID. I'll code up something else to try.

Did it work fine apart from that though?

Yup seems to work as before, allthough I don't know what all new features were added besides the picture

Please try this version and see if it fixes the multiple devices problem.

I changed the name of the ini file name since it doesnt use the CLSID anymore:

find_by_ordinal=1

Everyone else, they can let this parameter default (to off/0/false)

Mirror still doesn't work. I can mirror a TV video source, but for some reason the webcam stream causes the process to hang big time.
