im having this same problem. other than this problem so far the program is great. i have 2505 songs and i cant get past like the first 30 or so. i scroll down a 2 or 3 pages and the program freezes. i use an 8" ts if that matters..
Hello Everyone,
I'm new here so please be gentle. First - Coyote - Fantastic work. Now for the question. I have a problem while scrolling up & down in my MP3 list, I get to a certain song and Media car locks, I have to end task. Every time up to xyz song or scroll down to abc song and it locks. Is there any way to find out which song? Running XP Pro, VIA 10000, 12" touchscreen. If you need any other info just ask.
Thanks, AMS

I think that is a problem with your tags. Go down the list one at a time till you find the one that causes the problem, and fix the tag.
More MOds is right. I went thru about 4000 mp3s one at a time - if it hung I deleted that song now it works great.
I just make sure the tags are right before I add music to my collection.Originally Posted by amscomps

what about the tag causes it to lock up? can i just disable all the id3 tags? or does it have something to do with id3v1 and id3v2? half of my mp3s' tags are disabled as is. im fine with it just showiong up as the filename...

Not sure. Go into setup and give it a try.Originally Posted by fantomas

Awesome that I found this thread. I just posted earlier trying to narrow down my problem and came to the same conclusion that it has something to do with the mp3 files themselves. I'll take a good look at the tags. Anything special in the tags that could be wrong?
Many thanks.
