Well that doesn't make sense, then I would have to wait until I get done before I put in all the info. It should work so that after every fillup you put in where you got gas, the info and the current mileage. Then show you how much gas mileage you got out of the last tank.Quote:

You want to know the MPG you got between fill ups. The last one and the current one you just did. You put in the miles you driven some how, there would be two options for this, using the overal odometer reading minused by the previous odometer reading from the last fill up or the trip odometer. Then you divide that result by the current fill up. You have to you the current fill up because that will tell you how much gas you have used.

Only problem with that is if you forget to enter your mileage or someone else fills up your tank and doesnt update the database then the overall averages become meaningless. Your overall MPG would be off becase it would appear you got alot more MPG than you actually did. On the other hand if you enter the number of miles driven since the last odometer reset/fillup each time you could skip a few entries and it would not impact the averages.Quote:

The only other feature that would be kind of cool is a Vehicle Maint Log. This would basically be a log of when you do Oil Changes, Brake Pads, Filters including the date, mileage, location, and cost. Kind of fits in with your MPG log. Maybe you could just add categories.

well the only way i figured how to get a acurate gas usage was to fill up the tank completely then start tracking your milage and when u fill up again the amount of gas u put in took you the miles given :P hope that makes sense. any other way was a at best a quess. and i had no idea this many ppl would want to use this program so i will add lots of little things like being able to change the colors, fonts, and choosing what conversions u want with more info for each fillup and total averages, might take a few days tho. :D
well im pretty much done with the conversions, just edit the settings.ini file to what u want. let me know if your having any troubles with it or if the math is correct or not :P u can also change the fore and back colors, and the window size in the settings.ini file now.
Also wkolody the whole maintness log is a good idea, but dont really know what info would be needed, what should it display and all that fun stuff, u have any ideas?
Just wanted to pop in and say that this looks awesome and I look forward to the "finished" program. :)
