I've been playing with my own little app that allows MediaCar to launch an app, with (as you do) command line options, and optionally send it keys/clicks (for Routis etc).

The pseudo code to pass messages on would be:

-HWND mc = FindWindow( NULL, "MEDIACAR" );
-launch app
-find its top level window
-any messages in the get/dispatch loop that originated from MC you
-SendMessage( launched app )

This way MC embeds you, and you embedd the launchee, with launchee being the topmost.

I have most of this working, but got distracted with taking toddler out...

If you are going to do embedding yourself why pass on the messages ?

Also, I have verified that you cannot setparent or resize smaller on the stock
XM software.

Interesting idea, you get embedded, and then you embedd. I like that...

I'm here Frodo.... I followed your instructions last night on my main home PC and it worked... will try on the CarPC here soon....

So XMPCR can't be imbedded? Damn.... How about TouchXM? That would probablly be better for in car use anyway....

TouchXM probably wouldn't have a problem, but I haven't tested.
