Well I am not able to give the exact date. Previously it was supposed to be january. However BT HFP tests did not go well. And since MeeGo 1.2 was going to be released promptly I hesitated to do the release. Right now M1.2 has a lot of improved packages and I would like to test a bit more.
So depending on how long the nights are going to be ;) I will do the release within the next 2 weeks, means at latest 8th of April.

And (having followed the meego effort) promptly maybe an overstatement. They just solved the touchscreen bug, for a set of specific devices, which caused QT and XI2 not to work together. That *fix* only works for screens supported by the tsc2007 driver -- which I'm guessing isn't the majority of guys here.

No calibration was not working, I beleive it says that it was not able to complete it I have to wait till I get home to check, is there a way to get to any of the /etc files even if the system wont boot up into the OS.

After removing the Xorg file the calibration routine would come up but, it would simply loop.

I had to remove the calibration from the startup in order to get the GUI to even display.

Strange, I will check the sequence again, could you:
1) ls me your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ and the attach input of its files
2) give me your graphics card

Oh yes I am aware of it alright, but at the moment there is no ather way to go, so i get the best I can. Some of them bugs come from the dialer etc. software itself, and arcomivi does not use it directly.

And yes you are right, this might become an overstatement, but I still have faith in MeeGo :D Otherwise I could dump my project just right now.
So let us go small steps forward.

I am not sure how to get to the /etc/X11 to remove the calibration or xorg.conf file without being able to load the OS and go through the terminal. When I push tab or delete while booting to be able to get to the command line it takes me to the welcome to meego page and I can select tab to edit it it shows the image and where it is at:

vmlinuz-2.6.35.3-10.3-ivi ro root=/dev/sda2 quite vga=current

I have tried various attempts to try and be able to navigate folders to get to the /etc folder but can never get there. Is there another way to try and get to the /etc folder if you are not able to get past the boot sequence mines either freezes with the black screen while and blinking dash while in grub or gets further and goes through a loop and repeats the xorg error and goes into idle every 5 minutes.

I don't have the Xorg file any more as I removed Arcom a while ago.

The video "card" is an Integrated Intel Graphics Atom D510.

Wait until it goes to 5 minutes idle and than go to command line with
Ctrl+Alt+F1
use standard MeeGo OS user/password
root/meego
and voila...
