Ideas for using Mimics

Hmm, no... I see the problem now. There needs to be an action for each individual jump for the mimics action to link to it!

So for now looks like you have to manually click. There is a way of the mimics actually artificially pressing one of the jumps when its connected, but the jump would need to be in a fixed location such as one of the dock icons.

The easiest would be just to press it for the moment... Until the spring jumps developer decides to add actions.

Using VoiceActivator would eliminate the need for spring jumps, re-foldering, shortcuts, etc.

Let's say the program you want to open is on your 4th homescreen and that program is Dragon Go. With VoiceActivator, you program a command named 'dragon' that launches Dragon Go. Then all you have to do is invoke voice control, say the word dragon, and the app launches. And you're done.

Then really the only obstacle is launching VC, which would either be via the home button or via an activator shortcut.

As soon as I'm able to come up with enough money for a module I'm going to start tinkering more. Ideally in the end it would be awesome if whnenen the phone detects the module it jumps to car screen, enables sb rotator, toggles autolock,and locks the orientation. Then when you leave the car everything is reversed. That would be sweet.

There are some "profiles" tweaks that can completely change the mode of your phone that can be triggered using actions, GPS location, time of day etc. Though they don't have all the features included yet for optimal operation.

I am one step closer. I was able to create app shortcuts by using modified webclips. Now the only issue I have is an activator action to be able to jump to a specific page.

What about if you remove all you apps form the background, and then preload all your in-car apps when mimics pairs up. Now if you double-tap the home button you will see the application launcher which will reveal all your in car apps. Use this in conjunction with "music controls pro" and you should be able to easily have music controls and access all your in-car apps easily simply by double tapping home (assign gesture). It should look something like this:

When double tapping home, music controls will be at the top and the pre-loaded in car apps will be at the bottom. This way you wont need a "separate" page for your in-car apps so keeping it simple. The good thing about music controls is that no matter what app is currently open, double tapping home will always overlay the above controls.

Of course the mimics will clear the background and pre-load the in car apps automatically. I need to update mimics firmware and "mimics" driver for this to work effectively (noticed a few bugs).

*I have set "double tap home" to swiping down from the status bar in activator.

Ok here is what I have so far. I have voiceactivator set up so i say "car" it toggles sbrotator, toggles autolock, and toggles lock orientation. Edit: I just realized that i can only assign one action per voice command, well this sucks. You can see the only thing missing is the springjump. The main reason i want a "car screen" is because i like the way everything is set up on my "phone screen", i have everything on one screen and i dont really want to mess with it. Plus it looks dumb in landscape mode.

I swipe to the right once and I have music controls:

All the icons on the car screen are links(not the actual app) besides dragon go! because normally I have this set to a gesture so I previously had it hidden anyhow. The magnifying glass jumps to spotlight incase i have to lanch an app quickly that isn't on my car screen. Now that I realized i can only have one action for a voice command i have to figure that out and the jump now too.

I'm going to attempt to make a sbsettings toggle that will toggle everything i need with on toggle. Although I'm ok at programming, I have little to no time for too many extra projects right now so it may be a while.

Is there anyway to incorporate your module with an infiniti touch screen system.
It would be like icing on the cake to a good OEM setup in my G37

If your OEM touchscreen is 4-wire like most of them, then it should work. If you need to switch between OEM and iPhone that can be done using our switcher add-on. Basically with the switcher add-on, you dock your iPhone/iPod etc and the touch will switch over and control the phone. When you remove the phone you will then be able to use your OEM system like you normally would.
