When I had 1.1.2 installed everything was fine... Now that I've installed 1.1.3 I CANNOT get any lock!!! With advanced GPS enabled and disabled!!
I know that the receiver works, since there is no problem with the pocket PC!!
Kinda got this too.
Everything worked perfect till last week. Now, it just doesnt get a lock :s But the reciever signals that it has enough sattelites :s I was trying to find out a workaround earlier today, so i restarted all the time with different settings.
Suddenly it worked, and got full contact. So I shut it down, and opened it embedded in frodo. Then, no lock! Closed frodo, and then started it standalone. Same thing, no lock.
If I mess with settings it says it cannot find gps, but with the right settings it does. But it tells me it cant find any sattelites.
Map Monkey is a "Listen only" app. It doesn't send any commands or make any changes to the configuration of the gps device, it simply opens the com port and recieves the data that is being spewed out. If map monkey has no satellites it's because the gps device is telling it that!
Nothing more I can do!

I think i have fixed it now. The NMEA/SiRF switching, isnt that done inside the gps reciver? (some signal handeling thats changed or something)
Anyway, I installed GPS Diag and it didnt report any error.
I connected with SiRF Demo and there the strange stuff began to happen. It gave me NMEA signals. But MM tells me that it runs SiRF (it tells me it cant find any reciver if i try to run NMEA). If I try to switch to NMEA in SiRF Demo i cant, only "switch to SiRF" is enabled, and if i select it, nothing happens. The baud rate has to be 4800, otherwise it recives nothing. After restarting SiRF Demo the "sitch to SiRF" works, and it starts recieving SiRF signals. Also MM works now.
It seems like the reciver itself has switched back to NMEA, or mybe it was reset the last time i formatted my computer? But I defenetly think that I have used the GPS after that, and before it started to mess around :S
Anyway, that was strange, but now it works again =)
If you are using the USB port of the Sat Reciever to go into your PC< what com port do you tell Map Monkey to use?
