Thread: Using Go Home Feature

I think the easy way to find out your coordinates is to drive to the address or, using planning mode, centre the map on the address.
Then just hit the add speed camera button ( arrow on the left ) and it will pop up a window with the coordinates.
To cancel the speed camera, just hit the home button ( arrow on the right ).

Then, exit Map Monkey and enter the configuration screen. There, on the “other” tab, enter the coordinates. You can verify the coordinates by clicking the “Check Address” Button ( Arrow ).

And that’s it. From now on, whenever you need directions home, just hit “Menu”, “Destination” and “Go Home” ( Arrow ) .


Please correct me if there is a better or easier way to do this.

While messing aruong with co-ordinates iv found another way last night. If you so 2 plan route -> address and then type in your address then click Show next to navigate. That should show your address. Then there is a i with a circle on the far right, if you click that it tells you the long and lat of that address.

I hope that's not your address you've posted screenshots of!

Edit: Also note that the coordinates destinator give you in the information window are suffixed with North, East, South and West... so...

If the longitude is WEST then you need to make it a negative number on the go-home screen (ie. 2.22701 W becomes -2.22701)

And the same with latitude...if that's SOUTH then you need to make it negative

alternatively when at home you can just look at gps status and write down the long+lat then enter them in the config page... - but i think naveedh's way is betta.

hey, when i enter my coordinates, and click on check address, it says that "Unable to find address". i click ok and close the configuration anyway and when i hit "home" it does nothing. What does "Check Address" do?

It verifies if a road exists at that coordinates. I think destinator can only route you to an Address.

When i type in my address, set that as the origin, these are the coordinates it gives me.
