Not sure if this has been reported yet, but everytime MMC starts, I have to hit the shuffle again to activate it, and the first song it cycles to is always the top song on the currently playlist. Not really a big deal, but just wanted to comment on it.
After I deployed my project I installed it on another machine "Lap Top" then when i tried to run my application I was faced wiht a an error
EventType : clr20r3
then it asked me to report it to microsoft !!
the slolution in my case was that I went to my project in Visual basic Net 2005 and right clicked it the I clicked properties then References Tab then remove all unused refernces, rebuild the project and tried it , it worked. I hope this well be help to some one as it is hard to find a solution to EventType : clr20r3
Ok,been running now for a week.....sweet.
When i turn the vol up and down on the mp3 section, the box with the vol# stays there till i hit pause, unpause and make it go away.
running on a dell inspiron 9300 with a 6800 go vid.
also dose it on my old Dell CPi A 300XT..upgraded to 600mhz and 256 ram.
You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive.
Running 1.0 CTP on a laptop (stock XP, SP2), sound card is "SiS 7012", everything runs fine until i wake from hibernate in which the audio playback goes into a 5-10 second loop. Even if you change press pause/prev/next, it begins to play the next song, but then skips back to the original song in the loop again. The only way to correct it is to restart MMC.
Winamp5 appears to resume playback no worries. Is this standard behaviour, or have i screwed up something ?
p.s. Awesome software, looking forward to SDK![]()
it is a known issue, we will be giving everyone a new version that is MUCH better than the beta copys you are all running. Its been awhile since we posted on here and we will check in more frequently.
running the 11/20 release... I went to photos and selected a gif in the root of the pictures directory and go "Unhandled exception has occured in your application ..etc... Object reference not set to an instance of an object at MobileMediaCenter.MmcForm.photoListBox_MouseUp(obj ect sender, PinputEventArgs e)" there was more to it, but that's the gist..... I hit continue then browsed to a folder deeper in the directory and selected a jpg with the same effect. I am running the latest .NET framework I believe
I'm assuming you did this intentionally, but with the old version I had problems with the osk... I would type in part of an album title then select the album and it would crash. I never got around to posting that to the forum, but it seems to be fixed =) Also I had skips at random times.... not skips like it would jump forward, but would play the same section (1 sec or so) repeatedly for about 10 seconds then continue. I havent hit that one yet.
ok, I tested the skip thing .... when I'm running visualization, it will freeze and skip the song anywhere from 10-20 seconds, then I get a crash report and the song continues to play. It will play straight through the end of the song then stop, at which point I dismiss the crash message and MMC ends.
I also noticed a small performance issue. If I scroll in any view (artist/album etc) it seems to take a while to bring up the next section in the listing.
I also had a question. What version of ID3 tags does this support? I noticed I was not getting accurate data, so I've converted tags to ID3v4 but I havent had a chance to test it yet.
Thanks again for all of your great work.
