This is the new features and plugin request thread. Please read through the already posted suggestions before posting. More than likely someone may have already thought of it. I've added the stuff from the old thread and removed some of the features that have been implemented.

This was originally managed by Derek and I hope he can pick up where he left of someday soon...

Flash Skin Support. Thats something i saw over at the RoadRunner forums and must say, the potential looks very promising. prolly not very usefull, but i'm sure its something the skin kiddies would love to play around with for skinning. btw, i'm not a skinner, so guage support from the skinners.

Hi, this is my firs post, im still planning my CarPC, so im trying all the front ends available, i like yours most, i think something very interesting would be a webcam selector, as i could put a rear view camera and a bumper cam, Gran turismo style

hehehehe, not very useful, but would be pretty cool! and easy do program...

How about adding a Master Volume control to the EQ? I don't mean just tap into the Windows volume control. I mean a completely independant CPU processed volume control. On my home PC (nVidia mobo) the WAVE audio is "clipping" at 50-60% and causing poor audio quality. If it was processed by the CPU in advance, we could elliminate that issue.

(and no, lowering the Master volume from the Windows control panel does not make the distortion go away)

I suppose in this case you could call it a preamp. I've used commercial software that does this. DirectX plugin maybe?

I like the looks of this

so I downloaded it and these are my comments after 30 minutes of playing with it. I'm not sure all of these comments belongs in this section or not.

It doesn't recognize all of my video files, for example the *.divx and mp4 don't show up.

It doesn't resize photos to fit within the photo viewer window.

It would be nice to be able to change where the video and music directories are. The first time I installed it didn't give me the window for where these directories are located at. After uninstalling and reinstalling it came up.

Button info that popups when you hover over the button with the pointer would be a helpful addition.

The visuals Kick ***! I'm almost ready to use in the carpc for these alone.

I'm sure its possible to edit a file somewhere but being able to set the hotkeys in a settings window would be nice, also being able to set the size and placement of the sceen would be a plus.

I couldn't get the search button to work in anything but the all music view?

I really like it so far but not ready to replace my current frontend with it yet....I'm close though but it crashed twice on me just poking around in it. Not sure what I was doing when it did it though so I'll keep playing with it but I need it to see the mp4 files for sure, the divx and I can rename to *.avi and it sees and plays those.

DAB support? here in australia we dont have sat radio and the closest thing is digital. as well as am/fm normal radio.
phonecontrol.net would be good too.
maybe a way to sync with palm/pocketpc?
itunes?
air suspension/arb airlock diff control

just tossing up ideas...
