Xenarc my axx! :D I want a mac mini! hehehe
we are using mono and had to rewrite the sound engine for the mac... we are not using itunes for a backend, MMC is doing all the audio decoding and dsp layers.
can i have the latest mac version asap so i dont have to waste time switch ing between my pc and my mac to test the skin as i go?
i dont care about support, i just want the visuals interface
to work.
I've been designing desktops for a while now, websites as well, I'm going to give this a shot. I have a couple questions though. Is there anything specific you want (or don't want) to see in the design? Any particular design style that suits yourself/company?
I know you'll have a manual coming out, but just so we can get an idea and start thinking of concepts now. Also, will you be limiting how many entries per person? Is your program just a front end, or will you have built in ODB/CAN support? If not will we have to run VirtualPC to get ODB/CAN data?
Thanks. Long time lurker... first time poster. :)
I have been 100% on the PC version right now, there will be some work to get the skin engine on the Mac version current with what we have on the PC. So for right now you will have to use the PC version :(Quote:

If your skin is company oriented, I would like to see something that reflects on our logo.... maybe making use of the red crescent somehowQuote:

i just made a template of the red crescent coming up with concepts for a skin.....and that idea looks WAY too much like the alpine logo
now that Beta 1 Rev 7 has been posted (finally) I want to officially start the contest for the Mac Mini (or xenarc touchscreen):
currently in the video view we are still working on making the video preview, and medium size video adjustable, this will be included on the next patch for Rev 7. DVD is skinnable, however there are some playback bugs that will be addressed for the Patch as well. XM is being completely rewritten so dont worry about skinning this one.
If one of the contestants run into an area were MMC is not capable of doing something that allows them to do what they want to do, within reason, we will make a fix to MMC to make it more flexible
Minimum participation: Skin entry must include at the least (but not limited to): the Main view, Music view, Video view, photo view, and DVD view. (5 views)
once we reach 10-15 entries or roughly 2 weeks, you will then have 2 weeks thereafter to submit an entry before termination of the contest.
We will be posting a site were people will be able to submit screen shots of their entries and people can vote on them. If the winner chosen can not produce the minimum requirments (5 views) then the runner up will have first chance... and so on.
Prizes will be sent upon verification of requirements on a timely manner (5-10 days for shipping)
I decided to have a runner up prize in addition to the Mac/xenarc
1st place: Choice of ONE only: 1. Mac Mini 2. xenarc touchscreen or 3. $350.00
Runner up: XM Direct with Interface Cable
Hopefully I put everything needed to begin this contest, if I did not answer someones question... Please post your question, I will answer it promptly.
Thank you, and Good Luck!!
