im working on it...
I am trying to detail all aspects of the xml so you guys wont have any questions.... but if you do, i know this skinning system like the back of my hand now, so I can answer your questions.

Skinning guide is taking longer then expected and I ran into some bugs while testing Rev 7 that I really need to smash. We will continue with the release sometime this evening... sorry :o

I am looking forward to this revision and also the contest, i hpe you get the bugs out soon so we can get to work on the skins

here is the first draft of the skinning guide. If anyone has questions on how to do something post them in this thread. once answered I will add it to the guide. I want to give the skinners the ability to do anything with the skin. I do not want MMC to hinder creativity in any way, so if there is something that can not be done with mmc's skin system I will do my best to make it so it gets implemented.

Their are two amendments to the skin guide one is adding album art:
can be placed on any view or subview.... all the parameters are self explanitory and follow the same standard as the others in the guide

and the other is that now you can leave out the [normalImage=""] command and it will use the x,y coordinates and width and height dimensions for a hotspot... however any buttons that usually have a dual state...ie.. shuffle, play/pause, repeat, music, video, radio, power, ect... will still need an image associated with it (at least one)

Ok i'm trying to put the song name, the track time and track elapsed time on the main screen. However when I switch songs the song doesn't switch in the main menu. The time works fine but the song doesn't switch it only displays the song MMC started with

Okay, was a bug. Will get a patch out today sometime. Leave your skin that way, and the patch should straighten it out for you.

Not sure if I am putting this in the right thread, but I am sure you will all tell me if I am not. I am creating a skin for my MMC and I was just wondering if it would be possible to get the icons used in the default skin from somewhere. I really like the icons and am looking to use a couple of them in my skin. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
