Skin Presentations

So here I am testing out the skinnability of MMC to make sure it is 100% flexible and I wanted to post a screenshot of my progress.... I just want to state that I really like the default layout of Centrafuse, so I experimented with MMC to see if I could reskin it to be a centrafuse clone (for the purpose of testing only) I was amazed at the flexiblity that our skin system gives me!! here are some shots of the results:

he he he..... I giggled at myself!

I dont particularly like the interface, although in the car it proved more useful than it seems... still I dont get why some portions of the system deserve a button on every page (music, dvd, video) and others that might be more used (phone, maybe even traffic) need to be accessed through a HOME->PHONE sequence....

I agree and I hope to make the MMC UI much better in the respect to navigation. I like things that are very easy and simple to use, but powerful at the same time. That is the goal I want to reach with the MMC UI.

i knew it was versatile looking at the xml, but dang, looks like really could do almost everything. thats just awesome. with that, u just may put everyone out of business here....

Hi HybMike+Bitoholic... One thing... I havent seen the new release yet (I just kame back home drunk) so I'm just throeing this out: with the new wbr browser, did you put in a "connected" lablel and also a way to connect to the internet source (suche as GPRS connecton, or whatever IE defaultr sonnecton?)

I agree on the Centrafuse thing - there are some nice new concepts in that layout. This is the skin that I've been half assed working on over the last couple of weeks in, of all things, Powerpoint. It's a bit Frodoplayer at the moment, as that is what I'm using in the car at the moment, but is relatively simple to re-layout for MMC when it's nearer completion.

I put a music display on my main screen but the description/Album Art is only right when the song starts on the screen. If it started in the musicplayer, its wrong when I go to the main screen and vice versa(Bug?). Anyone else try this?

Yes it is a bug. Sorry! I will release a patch today that fixes this issue.
