Problems after changing UMPC.exe to Iguidance.exe

First of all I would like to thank Red for the frontend software. I have been using the beta version 3 since October, and I have found it to be very easy to use with very few problems. I have one problem in particular I would like to address. When I run Iguidance v3.0 normally without any modification, I could easily use the "save the current location" option. However, when I change UMPC.exe to Iguidance.exe so that it will embedded into the frontend I can not. I would touch at the area around the speed, ETA, etc. and a window will pop up about the current location, but when i try to save the current location, it won't save.

Also, after looking at the mp3car HD radio demo, would you Red consider maybe in the future to make a skin for that in your next version release? Considering it probably be after your next version, maybe a future add-on?

I will appreciate any advice or suggestion to my problem.

I will try and give you a method I use.
When i use umpc I noticed i couldnt see the weather any anymore in IG3.0 or 3.0.1. The reason is 3d mode has alot of options greyed out

If you have not done so switch to 2d mode.. Then press and hold the touch screen "like a right click" you should get a popup menu that has save location, weather, and a few other options.

Wow red you going to be very busy if your commercial version finds out about hd radio..

the silabs tuner is being a pain for you right now.. I canonly imagine hd coding.

It also turns out that there is a patch Iguidance v3.01 on their website that fixes several of bugs which this is one of them.

Just in case for people who haven't had the chance to look at the patch:

Changes included in patch v3.0.1:
On PPC, Laptop, & UMPC/Car PC:

Fixed missing street # range in night mode
Fixed 2D stopover feature dialog
Fixed bug in itinerary & Detour
Fixed certain address not geo-codeable
Fixed routing problem through intersection internal links (incl. route from/to several Canadian provinces)
Modified Guidance screen zoom switching distances
Fixed issue with certain straight maneuvers towards freeway
Fixed issue with approaching destination
Modified 3D road width
Changed code to go back directly to map screen for settings dialogs
Added Immnext (next next maneuver) icon
Added Panning mode exit timer (when routed)
Added all state freeway shields
Added shadow for dialog menu text
Added code to retain Panning mode after routelist, current location dialogs

On PPC only:

Added timer reset code for PPC Phone edition
Fixed Phone edition outputting slow voices
Fixed distance unit display issue
Improved bluetooth connectivity on wm5 devices running Broadcom bluetooth stack

On Laptop only:

Fixed routelist updating issue
Fixed Current Location dialog

On UMPC/Car PC only:

Modified left/right arrow behavior
Added COM port and BAUD rate dialogs in Settings screen
Changed to default fullscreen
Fixed Current Location dialog

If you prefer different map/road colors other than manufacturer's default setting, we are providing the following theme.ini files to enable some customization. Note: for 3D view, only colors may be changed but not road width.

uh pccivic 25 are you sure that the patch fixes the save current location.
I have the patch. I dont normally save location though. I just use the weather otpion in 2d mode.

yep
You have to have a internet connection.
make sure your in 2d mode. it will not work in 3d mode.
you will get current time, temperature a 5 day forecast and more from the weather channel

if you have a keyboard hit W.

if you have a touchscreen just hold you finger on the screen and a menu will appear.
