    Looks like it's got potential. I'll keep an eye on this.

    I actually couldn't get the N64 to open. When I click the button it just sits there. I also had the resolution problem possibly because I had to kill the app from task manager.

    It looks good though. I look forward to the future developments.

    Ok, so I wasn't paying attention and didn't install the Project64 before. Did that so now that works. The exit button works now but I get the run-time error '420': object required and the resolution doesn't go back to my original settings. I am liking it so far. Still haven't tried it out in the truck yet though. Is the resolution adjustable?

    Program Errors

    Ok, I think I have the problem with the "Exit Program" button fixed on the exit menu, go to my website and download the Mobile Impact Beta 1.0d version. Uninstall the first version and then install the new version. It is the exit button that puts your screen resolution back to normal, and it was erroring right before it restores. That should be fixed now. I chose to use the 640 x 480 resolution to solve some graphics quality problems and to make the program faster.

    *CdRsKuLL - > Regarding freedrive, I didn't test your program with it, but for all intensive purposes, all the program does is act like a shortcut icon to the exe file. I will download it and find out. Will freedrive will run at 640 x 480, Im thinking that this is the problem? If so I can make some adjustments. By the way, ive seen some of your work on skins and from what Ive seen, you do the best work so far that Ive seen. I was wondering if you wouldnt mind throwing something together for Mobile Impact? I would really appreciate it. You will find a directory called skin templates in the C:\Program Files\Mobile Impact\ directory that has the outline of where all the controls on the forms are located. Let me know. Thanks.

    Free Drive

    CdRsKuLL - > Ok, Just tested Freedrive, and Mobile Impact seems to open it ok when your in the audio/video module, but if your in the Main Menu or in the images module it doesnt make freedrive the on top program even if I program it to be, and the code is identical on everyone of my forms. Another thing is that Freedrive doesn't open in the middle of the screen or top right most, it seems to be ok in 800 x 600 to the right portion of the screen, but when in 640 x 480 it opens it with the right portion of it cut off, and I didnt notice anywhere that enabled me to move the screen over.

    ...After working on Mobile Impact for alittle bit, I figured out a way to get Freedrive to work as the topmost program, but I still cant get it to move over.

    Hi m8, FreeDrive will resize to whatever size you want, it auto adjusts its own skins when its resized also. Unsure how you are embedding your apps, but I embed the destinator map into a picture box.. a simple setparent command. You would have to do a findwindow command which will return freedrives handle so you can use this command.. the you could also use the setwindowpos command to tell freedrive to resize to any size you want.. theres also a SDK command in freedrive to tell it to resize and position where you want it to. By making FreeDrive a child of a picture box its easier to control its zorder. I will have a look at skinning for you, just I have lots to do at the moment.. but as I've skins for most of the frontends then I think its only fair I give it a go :-)..

    let me know if I can help out anyway

    p.s If you open up the settings.ini you can position the FD screen and size by just changing the line below

    #size left,top,width,height in pixels
    size= 0, 0, 800, 600

    but using the setwindow pos should work no probs for you :-)

    FDHandle=FindWindow("FreeDrive", vbNullString)
    Setparent FDHandle,embedpicture.hWnd
    SetWindowPos FDHandle, 0, 0, 0, embedpicture.Width, embedpicture.Height, 0

    btw.. just did the code above from memory.. and my memory aint that good.. lol
    cheers

    Freedrive

    CdRsKuLL - > Ok, wow thats makes a great improvement on things. In regards to how I call the program, Im actually not using any embedding techniques on it. Ive found some difficulties identifying parent windows and getting & setting handles. Im just using apiShellExecute to open external programs. I figured it would be more universal as I can set a shortcut or a document file as the program and it opens the same. However shellexecute has some of its own difficulties.

    Thank you for accepting the skin challenge. I figured you were extremely busy, so I will wait patiently for what Im sure will be a masterpiece.
