can I request a skin? Ive been finding it hell to find a parogram that is simple. I want only text lists, use my MP3 directory and filenames, do GPS, and dvd/mpeg. all teh new frontends out are SO complicated! they have so many menu's on the top menu a touchscreen is useless! I want to avoid the OSK, I want to avoid having album art, visualizations, etc.

I just want three massive buttons, mp3, vid, and gps, where I can imbed any gps, and just be able to select a directory for mp3 play.

can this be done with a skin on any front end? or am I forced to utilize the complexity of every program? (yours seems most simple, is why I posted here)

With Mobile Impact you cant leave out any of the functions as the locations and the existence of the controls are all embedded. I have found with other front ends, you can remove the controls and leave them out of the skin. I have played with Neocar Media Center and I remember that you can leave alot of stuff out and also resize things. I have tried to keep Mobile Impact as simple as possible, but with the request for more features, my next version is going to be a bit more in depth than the current version. The basic modules will remain the same however. Hope this helps.

Look in C:\Program Files\Mobile Impact\Skin Templates, This has the template for each of the modules. Here is an example of the Main Menu Template; The dotted lines represent the region of the form that the button functions reside on. You can go outside or stay inside the dotted boxes. Just remember that the buttons will only work within the dotted boxes for clicking and also the mouse down event, where the graphic changes when you click. You dont have to fill the whole box with the graphic, you could make the buttons round for instance, or triangles, just make sure that if the buttons that are next to each other dont go into each others boxes. The programs button locations are hard coded and cant be moved for several reasons. Mainly this would have required alot more coding and I didnt want to bog the program down. They look great to me!
