Sorry about the site being down. I host the site on my own server at my home and my cable internet connection has been having alot of service issues lately. Im going to move the site to a professional server, it will be up shortly.

Great to hear. I am looking forward to downloading the new version as well. I haven't had much time to play with my carputer lately since my hd crashed about a month ago.

I didnt include that in this release. I used windows media player in VB6 for the media control in Mobile Impact and I have found that windows media player uses C++ for alot of its functions, which I dont know how to program in. The function that changes the visualization requires C++ programming.

I was however considering just switching between a picture and the visibility of the media players visualization. I could make the program look in the directory where the album or files are located and look for a certain filename, like Folder.jpg, then if it finds it, if you have set something in the config.ini file to look for the album art, then it would show the album art and hide the visualization. I could also make it switch between the art and visualization.
Lets say in config.ini would look like this:
    [VIS]
SETTING=0 -> Makes the regular visualation run normally

    [VIS]
    SETTING=1 -> Album Art Only

    [VIS]
SETTING=2 -> Switches album art and visualization

*I would Not be able to make it so that if you clicked on the file, it would show the album; Like if you had a bunch of files in a single directory or in a playlist, I would not be able to make it show album art for each individual file when it started to play or was selected.

So what do you think? Do you think that the Folder.jpg thing I described was what you were looking for or did you need it to be more automated than that?
Let me know as the Folder.jpg thing is really easy to add.

    that would be cool.
so as i understand it, when i'm playing music from album folders it would be able to display the art but if i was playing tracks from a playlist it wouldn't show the art for each track, but would it automatically select vis if the art didn't show?

    [VIS]
SETTING=0 -> Makes the regular visualation run normally

    [VIS]
SETTING=1 -> Album Art Only, if not found then runs normal visualization

    [VIS]
SETTING=2 -> Switches album art and visualization

Ok, I could set it up so that if the setting is = 1 and it doesnt find the Folder.jpg file, then it would automatically revert to showing the regular visualization.

Would you want the album art to run at full screen with the small control bar at the bottom, or is the small windowed picture ok?

I tried to get it going but ran into some bumps. It's beta after all.

I installed it on my home PC instead of the carputer to take a look. The main screen is a bit messed up.

The logo should be in the center of the screen but shows in the bottom right.

When I went to choose an application the highlight would cover 2 applications

Exit does nothing, so as you mentioned, had to change the resolution and fequency of the monitor once I ended the program using task manager.

I read all the posts and I know it was a problem earlier but though you would like to know.

    I hope you consider 800x600

Excellent progress so far, looking forward to the finished front end, I really like the N64 being integrated.

Yes actually the new version is in 800x600 and all the buttons are very large as before and easy to press while on the road. I would like to see a screenshot of this messed up menu as you mentioned, it might help me to develop it better. Thank you.
