Will DPI setting effect the look or function of ME?

goddamnit! i uninstalled the driver and reinstalled and it still reverted back to 120 when all was said and done.
it still requires the win xp pro disk. i think it over wrote some system file. i tried to locate it "dosapp.fon" and it wont write back to it...at least that was the file it wanted i found it in the sys32>dllchache and it didnt rewrite....but...

So what happens when you give it the Windows XP cd?

i dont have a win xp disk :/

yay!!!!! i did it!!! i aquired a copy of xp home (even though it said insert pro) and i got the file and all is well. i even went to 256 color. so all is well!

so. YOU CAN USE XP HOME FILE FOR XP PRO. hopefully that'll get searched for and answer questions....

Im glad you worked it out. Yes; most of the core system files between XP pro, Home, Media Edition, Tablet Pc edition are all the same, the main difference is the shell and the kernel files.
