    audio file extension question... i think.

    first let me say thank you for such an awesome front end. i love what i have used of it so far. thank you for yout ime and effort to bring this to us...

    i was/am getting that "cannot play file extension" box when ever i try to play a song...i can still play the song without issue. i was told to just check the "do not show this message again" box and run with it...

    however i do not get any of my album art to show up, dont get any of the visualizations, and have an error message show up on the top bar of the audio screen when i do play a track. My files are MP3 extensions... and album art is jpg. why am i getting the error messege and and cannot see the album art or visualizations?

    Wow flattery will get you everywhere! Heh Heh, Does this happen with every single file? Or does it happen only with specific ones?
    Can you take me through step by step of what you do to get the message.
    You might have a corrupted or damaged Windows Media Player installation.
    Please let me know. Thanks.

    well maybe i jumped the gun a bit. i had Musicmatch Jukebox loaded and power dvd. i removed both and the error msg. is gone, and i can see the visualization now. album art still isnt showing up, unless theres a setting i dont know about its just the visualizations that show up by default.
    is ther anything specificly i need to do to have the album art show up?
    thnax again...
    tim

    EDIT
    well for ****s sake.... disregard the album art tissue. Its amazing the things one can find when one reads one others instructions about config.ini...

    Yep, its a setting in the config.ini file. Youll find it under the VIS section.

    SETTING=0
    #SETTING=0 will make the visualization run normally with no album art in Media player module.
    #SETTING=1 will make the Media player look for Album Art, if it is not found, the Visualization will show normally.
    #SETTING=2 will make the Media player switch between Album Art and the Visualization if album art is found
    DURATION=10
    #DURATION=10 tells the media player how long to wait before switching between album art and visualization when SETTING=2
