Same here, also would it be possible to have the slider remember you last position and not return to the start? Say if you listened to an album begining with "I" when you go up folders again it would start at "I" again. If that makes sence

I tried to see things from his point of view but I couldn't fit my head up his arsehole too."

This is weird, this is the 2nd post that I totally missed. Sorry about that guys. I know that the sliders are a bit flakey, and its because I didnt design them to be like standard sliders. The main function was so that if you hit the slider mid way it immediately responds by moving the list to that level. I understand what you mean, and the program does make the slider follow the song thats playing. Unfortunately I have not been able to get them to completely cooperate, sometimes they snap to the right place, and other times they either end up at the top or bottom of the range for no apparent reason. I have somewhat given up on trying to make it work perfectly. For now it works good enough until I have time to address them again.

Regarding making the program go to the top of the album list alphabetically, the program actually remembers the last folder that you were in. Say you have your directories organized by album name and then the mp3s in the respective folders. You would click on a folder and show the mp3 files, then play them. When you click on the up directory button, it would go right out to that folder, so say you clicked and opened a folder called Rob Zombie - Past Future and Present, it will open that folder to show the mp3 files. When you were done listening to it, you click on the up directory button and the program will automatically go back to and highlight the Rob Zombie - Past Future and Present folder. This is the design that I had in mind. If you have a sub folder such as this example; Matrix Reloaded, then sub folders Disk 1 and Disk 2, then when you would click on Disk 1 and play the songs, then click on the up directory button and the program would highlight Disk 1, but if you hit the up directory button once again, it would just take you to the very top of the list because it only remembers one level at a time, and cant back track.

Here is an example of how it might go wrong.
If you had a directory called Music, then sub directory of Pop, Rock, Rap, Electronic, and R & B, and then under Rock you had Rock album 1, Rock album 2, Rock Album 3 and Rock album 4. If you clicked on Music, it would open it up to see the Pop, Rock, Rap, Electronic, and R & B folders, then if you clicked on the Rock folder, it would show Rock album 1, Rock album 2, Rock Album 3 and Rock album 4, if you clicked on the Rock album 3 to show the mp3 files, then clicked on the Up directory button, it would highlight the Rock folder, but if you hit the up directory button one more time, then it would highlight the rap folder because the program only remembered that you were in the 3rd folder in the list last. I could of coded it to remember more than one directory level, but how many directory levels would I program. Visual Basic is somewhat limited in these respects. I hope this explains and helps people to set up their folders so that Mobile Impact can be better used. Thanks again for the input.
