Divx not Filling the Whole Screen

I have a small problem when playing divx movies, the movie plays normally in the small preview window but will not switch to full screen. Any ideas anyone?

As an update I have been playing around and can get it to fill the screen, the problem was that it is just very unresponsive when playing divx movies and the double touch is taking a while to register. When in full screen the audio and video are not in sink, the video is about half the speed of the audio. If I use mediacar it's fine. This is a clean install of XP pro with the divx codecs and mobile impact, am I missing some software? could that be the problem?

Just for the fact that its playing shows that you have the right codecs and software installed. When you click on the small preview window, it should go to full screen with the mini control bar still showing at the bottom. After 30 seconds in this format, it should go full screen automatically. Yes double clicking brings it to full screen, but like you said it takes a while to register, and sometimes on a touch screen it doesnt register at all. I have noticed a small little bug, that occurrs if you go into the GPS module then go back to play video or audio, it will go to the screen showing the mini control bar, but it never goes to full screen. I havent addressed this issue yet, as Ive got a few projects going on right now. Is this what is happening or is it not going to mini control bar mode at all when you hit the preview window?

It is not going into mini controll bar mode when I hit the preview window but double clicking does go into full screen with no control bar, it takes a while to come up and there is quite a lag between audio and video.

    Thanks reddeath

Let me throw a few things at you.
The function of it going from preview window to mini control bar mode is an extremely simple one, the code says if its small then make it bigger when you click on it, its just resizing the media player window, so there is something on your system that is happening or might not be up to par.
Give me the run down of your system, what Media Player version do you have, Make sure that you have Version 9 or better and Direct X 8 or better installed. What kind of video card do you have, it needs to be able to support some basic 3D stuff too. What other programs do you have running at startup? Off hand, I cant think of a single thing that would cause this.

When you are playing Mp3s does the visualization go to mini control bar mode? The module is the same for audio and video, it just changes what files you see in the filelist when you click on the Audio or Video buttons from the main menu. It could also be the actual file itself. It may not be able to run at the screen dimensions that I have set for the mini control bar mode, but it can run full screen. Is there any way that you could get this divx file to me to take a look at?

Thanks for the suggestions. The visualisatoin won't go into full screen either, it plays normally in the preview window though as do the divxs.

The system is based on an epia m10000 and has the standard graphics and graphics drivers. I will have to check the media player and direct x versions but they are the standard versions that come wth xp pro (which I think are both version 8). Maybe a setting in media player could be at fault, I notice that if you change the window size in the snes emu that it changes in impact too, so I'll look into that.

I will have a look at what is running in the background but it shouldn't be that as it is literally a clean install only mobile impact, the associated emu's and mediacar have been installed.

Ok. this tells me that the video file is just fine. Here a report from my support page and a problem that I personally ran into when I first started using it.

    1. Tview Monitor conflict
    Issue: Conflict with Tview touch-screen monitor;
Description: Touchkit software will not allow media player visualizations to run full screen.
When user touches the visualization box it goes to a full black screen, then goes back to the normal video screen.
Resolution: Remove the Touch Monitor from startup.

I dont think that this is an issue, but Mediacar could be conflicting somehow.
Give this a try if it applies, if this isnt it, then I dont know what else there is. Your hardware is fully compatible, so I dont know where this is coming from. Hope this helps.

I don't think the touchkit can be the problem as its a lilliput monitor and I can't be the only one using them!

I have removed mediacar and I also tried changing some of the windows media player settings but it still doesn't work. The movies worked through mediacar and currently work through windows media player as a stand alone but not embedded in mobile impact, I'm stumped... If I do figure it out I'll post the answer in case anyone else runs into the same problems.
