I really like the media aspect, the videos, the fact that GPS can be brought up while a video is playing in the background and you dont loose the video's sound, etc...

I like the simplicity of MI, but I would really appreciate a way of making it a bit more friendly, and perhaps less cluttered... for example, clicking on "GPS" in the video screen takes me to GPS and the video plays in the back... if I click on menu however, and then on GPS the audio is stopped (when I click on menu the vdeo stops)...

Overall it is a really nice frontend, I was tired of RR and how bloated it has become recently, and its instability due to winamp...

Thanks I appreciate the compliments. What your describing is some bugs that was in previous versions but shouldnt be happening in the newest version. Can you tell me the exact sequence of events that you did to make that happen? It could be something simple and I would definitely like to fix it. I admit that its kind of a pain to have to click on a button to get to another set of buttons, but there is so many features and so little space to put them on. Ive been considering making a lite version (Media and GPS only) along with the full version.

The problem isnt clicking on things, it is having so many buttons that will never be used...

some more comments:

You have a "home" and a "exit" button in the media player, and pretty much EVERY screen... this is a bit useless IMHO... I almost never exit, and I dont want ppl havng easy exit...

For a while I though "exit" was "main menu" and used it as such, but then I saw the "home" button...

In gps, we have "audio-video" button, "menu" button, and "exit" button.... it is very confusing... I think at most you should have a "back" button which goes back to the previous screen in use before the GPS, because the way it currently lies, I need to remember whether I was in audio/video or in menu, cause if I was in menu and I click Audio-video it does nothing... this is very counter intuitive imho...

I will try to reproduce that thing I was talking about...

I would second the idea of a lite version. This is a nice app but there are some aspects of this that I believe wouldn't be used in Europe for the moment (XM\Sirius).

I like the idea of a GPS\Media version alot

I would prefer the option to enable/disable buttons, instead of a "lite" version... cause if one day I want, say OBD (which might be one day in the full version) but not the other things, I'd either have to choose between the one with the stuff I dont want, or the one with less than what I want, get it?

This sounds like a good idea. It wouldnt be very difficult to have a section in the settings, and you could just place a check on the buttons that you would want, and then maybe have a slot or two for custom programs as well. Im in the process of working on adding cd ripping and burning to the program, but I will keep this in mind. Thanks.

Being a UK user, i have to say that currently i am using the version b4 the xm module got released...wen i installed the 1st version with the xm and phone control my car pc ran really slow...the vids/visualisations didnt play properly and was generally annoying.

A version for us in the UK wud b awesome! However understanding that you are doing all this for free, i didnt want to mention it until i saw this thread.

Overall red i love MI and really want to keep up to date with the versions, but since xm and phone control ive had to stay put.

I think it'd b great for a UK version without XM.
