Thread: Mobile Emulator 1024x768

    Mobile Emulator 1024x768

    For certain reasons I have to set my desktop to 1024x768. I can adjust my frontend (frodoplayer) to that size but when I try to open Mobile Emulator, it only opens to 800x600. I changed the ini file to 1024x768 but it doesn't do anything to the skin. How do I change it (can i change it) to what I need? I did a search..several of them... but can't find anything. Am I the only one with this problem?

    Mobile Emulator comes with a skin builder, you should try it out. Look for the icon with the Mobile Emulator program group.

    Thanks. I've never done a skin before but I'll try it out. Do I need any special software to make the skin? Or just the skin builder?

    You will need the skin builder to define the locations and dimensions of the buttons and the other objects on the program, then you will need to create a graphic representing the new locations and dimensions. This has to be done free form in a graphics program.

    A question relating to this. I've just had a go, and it seems that both ME and the skin builder are limited to 800x600

    Even if I modify the file by hand to 848x480 afterwards and provide an 848x480 image, ME chops the image off at 800 pixels and leaves a grey background.

    Any idea how to fix this?

    Sorry it looks like I only made it so that the form can only be a maximum of 800 pixels wide. If you are running road runner or centrifuse, I believe you can set the program be embedded and the background of the embedded window to be black so it looks better.

    Is there likely to be an update in the future. I'm not in any rush as it's quite useable right now.

    More annoying is the embedded snes9x. That one always ends up in the top left corner regardless of where you tell it to be in the skin. I have tried the provided version of snes9x and the latest on the website (though admittedly my main reason for trying the latest was to make Mario Kart be playable )

    Im not going to be releasing any new version any time soon. Try Mario Kart in the N64 emulator, I think the graphics are better anyway.

    I never liked Mario Kart 64 it was more realistic but less fun. I have a soft spot for the SNES though as it was the last console I owned.

    I'll see if I can find a workaround
