thats a good idea
Quite often I need to get to windows explorer to do something. I run with my windows taskbar hidden and with MI running full screen.
Currently, there is no built-in way to minimize MI allowing us to go to explorer. We either have to use an external keyboard command to swap to the windows taskbar or use the MI "exit program" button and shutdown MI. Then we have to start MI back up when we're done in windows.
I would like to see a new "Minimize" button added to the MI control screen (which currently has the shutdown/hibernate and other option buttons). There is room below and to the left of the "Log Off" button where a new button could be added. Although I think I would put the log off button in that open spot and put the "minimize" button where "log off" button is currently located.
Does this sound like a good addition for a future update?

Set up explorer.exe in the external applications module, or any other program you wish to run outside of MI.Originally Posted by DaveB

I will give that a try
things seem to work fine using external apps for me....i have G-force visual which i use for media player, it works fine through MI and it has its own toolbar to adjust the effects, the only one thing i found is if you click on MI though, the toolbar would disappear behind it and you'd have to exit MI to get to it if you are using touch/mouse only control. i was lucky enough that the program had "always run on top of other programs" function as does alot of software.
loving the program![]()
What about adding a minimize button under the "shutdown" menu? i cant imagine it being too hard to implement. Ill try putting explorer in the external app list for now.
A minimize button would sure look nice right under the logoff button![]()
I was sitting a long time at my testing machine at work thinking what would mobile impact might need... I was searching on google for an external app to eject a cd\dvd.. theres a few i found but it got busy so i couldnt add it in..
maybe the functionality is already there inside MI and I dont see it.
KIAs can have car pcs too..
I might be able to put the eject button in the DVD/CD module as the new version has a totally redone and combined module. Thanks for the suggestion.
