First off thanks for this awesome frontend. The buttons, the ease of use, fast loading.. its just awesome. Altho I did run into a few problem I am sure some ppl must have had the same issues but would have come up with some sort of a work around for that. One of the problems i had was with the video playback, I have the Via Epia M10K with 1 gig of RAM and onboard video card output set to 64MB of RAM. I also upgraded the drivers for the board and now when i play divx or even visualizations in full screen they work great for the first 5 seconds and then there is a lag. If I play videos without MI then they play without a glitch. Another thing I cudn't find was a search function for mp3s.
I'd appreciate if you could let me know how I could work around the above mentioned issues.
Thanks
Imran
I have seen this before, however I cant remember what the cause was. I think I remember it had to do with either firewall software, or antivirus or a touch screen management program. This i believe will cause the issue with the video. It is either that or you need an updated codec for the type of videos you are playing, and then change their order of priority also comes to mind. Search some of the older posts and you should find what you need. Thanks for the compliments, worst comes to worse, send me a list of all your running processes and I also have a Microsoft Codec checking utility that may help too.

i had a similar issue like that i disabled my wireless network card and the lag went away in my case everytime it found a hotspot it would lag the system with the annoying popup saying new wireless network found...
I will try disabling the the wireless card, and I will post the processes that are running. I installed the K-lite codec pack and WMP 10. Thanks for the help will keep you posted.

That may be the problem, we have experienced codec conflicts with mpeg-2 decoding for DVD's and the K-lite pack. If this is indeed the issue, then unfortunately you would have to load windows from scratch to eliminate the k-lite codecs, unistalling them often leaves pieces that are near impossible to find. Then when you reload, only load the specific codecs needed for the files you have. As an example, I use Xvid codec for all my DVD movies converted to AVI and then I install power DVD which installs the DVD decoding codec and then i stop there. On rare occassion that I get a video, I install the 3ivx or Divx codec, but most stuff is in Xvid these days. I try to be really carefull about codecs because they alone can cause a world of issues. Hope this helps.
