Think it was Internet Explorer. Downloaded it with Firefox and it seems to be working. Thanks, looking forward to trying this one out!
[edit] Downloaded it and it worked great. The coupla tokens Id like to mention:
Couldnt find an exit button. Is there a fullscreen viz? Is it possible to navigate the music via folder instead or artist or genre? Otherwise, an excellent front end! Keep up the great work!
please add support for all video files and also being able to pop a cd in and it will play automaticly. also and option to click on play cd would be great also.
Video files to add or a way for us to add it would be a great addition. also what about GPS. what are you planning to use. i love the old version but it always lock up on me back then when trying to load all my mp3.
Did this version lock up? I will work on the items you requested. GPS... we are looking into various options right now, any recommendation from users?
Here is the issue with GPS. I do not want it looking like Windows at all. This software is supposed to be for touch screens and take care of all your automotive needs, it should not look like Windows or use windows controls! That is the issue I have with some GPS integations right now that I have seen.
ALT+F4 for now will close it quickly. I will add an exit button.
Automatic playback for audio CD's and a CD list will be added soon.
The other issue with hard drive browsing... I am trying to get away from the idea of browsing off the hard drive. I want to get the idea of there being a hard drive away from the user. Once again, I want this to be easy and act like a consumer device. I am working to work on whatever it takes to get this right. If you or anyone has suggestions on making it easy to import your music libraries, I am all ears and I will put forth the effort.

I completely agree with you on your "hard drive" sentiments. I think the best way to do that is to beef up tag support. Sure it's a little more work on users to tag their stuff, but theyre so much easier to manage when theyre tagged. Unfortunately the difficulty for you is the lack of solid tag standards... I mean they have what? 2 different versions, with 2 or 3 sub versions each? I guess if you can just support the meat and potatoes (ie name, album, genre etc) of each version, that would put you light years ahead in the "hard drive abstraction" realm.
Keep up the good work man, MMC is the ****!
I think ID3 tag v2 is the standard choice for most people.
I love being able to choose to browse by artist, album or genre but I think an even better feature would be to make it like an ipod menu.
eg) Select Genre and then you're presented with Artists that fall within that genre, then Album and then finally Songs.
Obviously have an "All Artists" and "All Albums" option at the top of each list as well.
Other than that I love the new version.

What's that burning smell?

Oooh also. Is there a volume control anywhere?

Also add radio support. SILAB radio works great. The way you have it set for music right now is great. But no matter what, when you have a big database for music its kind of hard to make it not look like a computer. But I like the way it is now. Choosing your music folder and then whenever a new file is added to it, it will autoupdate. But its better to have a script or program inside this program where when you stick a flash drive in and you can be able to move or copy mp3 from that drive and transfer it to the default music folder that is set. Having a playlist would also be a great addition. Being able to create one on the fly. If you are able to add multimonitor support function that would be great also.
