I get a crash every time trying to just browse up through the directories while in video mode. The results are in this file here:
EDIT: Running XP Pro SP2.
some other comments i was going to make in the other post, but had to cut it short cause i was typeing it in my car w onscreen keyboard.
The list function dosent save your choice when you restart. I would be cool to set it to the one your going to use the most and just have it stay that way.
The buttons on the top could be a tad bit bigger, maybe not have them stacked on top of each other and line them up like the ones on the bottom of the screen. And increase the space below.
I cant scroll with my mouse wheel
For those of us who do use a mouse from time to time in the car, when scrolling, the wheel is the way to go (at least for me) most of the time.
onscreen keyboard could be more standard as far as key size goes, seems you ran out of room and started moving keys around. predictive text based on your actual mp3 files would be cool. So instead of it trying to figure out what word im trying to type in the whole english language, just use only the file name, id3 tag info as words in the data base to choose/ predict from.
more comments as i play with it more,
Great job, guys.
It looks great and it's fast.
Couple of things: When I'm in "browse" music mode, it crashes when I click on any folder. "Could not find a part of the path 'e:\carputermedia\'. " My files are located on E:\carputer\media. It's missing one of these \
Also, I really like the fact that I can move buttons around and resize them. Is there any way to move the clock???? The way my screen is setup, I can't see very top of the monitor. I'd put it next to the mini vis or next to the search button
Not sure if a request has been made for this yet so here it is. I'm sure many would like it so that we may have more than one media folder. What I am asking for is the ability to add additional folders to the database. Say, for instance, you have more than one harddrive in your system with media files on it. Using the current scheme you can only have a folder specified for music and videos.
Check out my hopefully useful site...
It's still under design but it is functional
Hey Hybrid guys, good job!!!
Only one problem : I keep having high CPU usage. Almost 100% when the vis is displayed and 30-40% when I play .ogg files. Is this normal?
I'm seeing that no one else complains about high CPU usage and tend to believe it is my system and not your software. I'm testing with a Celeron 2.4GHz, 256MB RAM DDR266, 845GV chipset with onboard video, WinXP with SP2 and all the latest drivers. I fear that my poor M10K is not gonna make it....
Can some of you guys post your CPU usage or PM me in order to keep this thread clean?
I don't know if you can call this a bug but when using browse mode it doesn't display ID3 info just filename... at least there should be an option for this.
That's all i got to complain about. Can't wait for external application support.
we got the components for the interface cable today....shouldnt be long now!
Keep us updated.... how does it work ?
