That sounds great. Now lets build an all-in-one solution with MMC.

All in one solutions SUCK. If you want an all in one solution buy a Mac. I don't want MMC to do a whole lot of different **** because one guy on the forum wants it, because it will make the whole program bigger and slower and with all respect to the MMC guys, MMC will never do these specialized tasks as well as a specialized software meant to do it. If you have a problem with volume levels then get MP3gain and run the darn thing, if that is too much work for you, how in the hell did you wire a computer into your car. Sorry for being an *** but geez.

    Thanks for flaming me.

Remember that these guys are trying to create a RETAIL product. Why would someone want to pay for something that's just like the other stuff that can be downloaded for free? I'm giving them innovative ideas. Just like camera phones that can surf the web, features sell products.

P.S. If you don't like all in one solutions, why are you building a PC into your car? Don't answer that. Just think about it.

woohoo, directory browse mode finally works, now it's becoming usable XM interface is cool, but for some reason I have to close the app and open it back up to switch to a different station... basically, it gives me the list I select the first station and it's locked on that station until I shut her down and bring her back up.

Nothing much seems to have been done about my error.

Just to let you know. I have done a complete rebuild of my system, as my main hard drive decided it likes bad sectors. I have .net framework 2 Beta and MMc rev 8 and it still cuases the same error.

I still believe its happening at the poit where it would ask for the audio input.

Again i have an Audigy 2 ZS. I will check to see if there are any newer drives and test again.
We are, will have and forever will be...
    But not tommorrow!

I dont get those errors.. but I have a Audigy 2 NX ... oh and I also have not only .n framework 2 installed... but also .NET framework 1.1 ...

I wonder if somehow MMC might still be using it instead of 2.0 ?.. im just guessing here...

Rev 8 finally fixes the play in browse mode, but still has the phantom volume issue. Sometimes the volume will shoot all the way up or down with one press (of either up or down)

Also noticed songs skipping, at different locations in the song. I pulled up task manager and noticed the CPU is always into the 60% usage area and when visualization is on its pegged at 100% This could be whats causing the skipping. I have an Epia M10000 with 512 megs, 7200 rpm 8meg cache HD.

MediaCar uses winamp and between the two apps the CPU usage is never above 20% with just music.

Overall it seems more stable, haven't had the fatal "protected memory error" yet.

    Talking MMC Beta 1 News

I have been working hard toward the Beta 1 release. I am working off the list that Derek is keeping updated under the Feature/Plugin request thread. So please if you feel there is an important feature missing in MMC, then post it in the Feature/Plugin thread so Derek can add it to the list. We will try to consider as many as possible for Beta 1.

I am already working on things like Album Art display, XM Station display, etc. I am also working on some new screen layouts for better viewing in the car. Going off some screen concepts from Seth and NightfireTuning.

I thank everyone for there suggestions and help.

    Thanks
