Remote desktop works fine. Its MMC that crashes when I try to run it while using RDC. I'll play with it some more though if you say it works.

with all respect to the MMC guys, MMC will never do these specialized tasks as well as a specialized software meant to do it.

What the hell do you think we are creating? our software is already very specialized..not just a front end to other "specialized software"

Don't sweat it. Some people just don't have vision.

There are some really good front ends available, but 99% of them are just hacks of MS Media Player or WinAMP. Those front ends are limited to the capabilities of someone elses product. If I'm not mistaken MMC is being built from the ground up. So your limits only go as far as your imagination.

    Keep up the awesome work.

Thanks Grinch - since then I have decided to install Win 2k instead of Win XP. Computer appears to be more stable. I haven't reloaded since but will try sometime this week.

    song with same title

Ive got more than 1 track like this, and only just picked up on it, Our Lady Peace and pitchshifter both have a track called whatever, if i load them both in at once, and jump to either track i get OLP as its got the 'O' at the start with alphabetization and shizzle. if i go into the media file, and change the file name (i named one OLP - whatever and one Pitchshifter - Whatever in the .xml) then it loads those names and runs fine... must be an error reading the data in from the listbox from my limited knowledge of programming it helps to know these things.......

    just my 2 pennys :P

be a good reason to implement custom ID3 tag display dontcha think

Update on the MMC Code Monkey Crew!

Hey everyone, as many have probably noticed we have been quite lately, this is because version one is approaching a Final version status and Programming for Version two has comminced. As we promised to everyone in this community it will be free for all mp3car users as a personal thanks to everyone that helped make it what it is today.

Here is an official Feature spec of Version One with no more changes planned:
This will also clear up some of the questions regarding our CECU.

    http://www.hybrid-mobile.com/specsheet.xls

We will be giving the final version to anyone who wants it, you will get a fully registered copy with free upgrades. (CECU is not included though).

I will post instructions for downloading it shortly...as soon as it is ready. we are at about 98% at this time.

    Thanks again guys,
    Mike

Make sure you set xm to true in the config file and set the com port to that of your cable.
