TAke my word for it guys, it works. You can allways change contrast n **** on your screens. And I am working on this program most of the time with the sun shinning on my screen. It works out perfect. But I am still workin on it. I'm just running through random idea's I'm having.

I want your guys's Idea's on what the final verdict should be for the skin...what kind of theme? Cause Ben is about to get me another build to play with, with some fixes and I'm going to reskin everything from scratch. I wanted to get the Apple iMac look to it, cause I want everyones tiny little screens to look crystal clear. 800x600 resolution SUCKS! I know cause I have very sensitive eyes...I cannot stand pixelated photos and backgrounds. I am not going to use a extreamly hot woman with her boobs pressed up against the picture, I am focusing on getting the entire program to look like eye candy, and to look kinda OEM. I'm setting this up so that you guys can switch backgrounds with whatever you want. Its very easy. But I'm also trying to make it so that when V1 is released..you guys wont want to change anything cause it looks that nice.

Is there someway to get rid of the black boxes? A new dll file or something a like?

Uhm, have you been reading anything on this thread Rob? No offence, Those aren't photoshops your looking at. I'm skinning MMC1 and MMC2. The black boxes are in more locations then you think. There are black boxes over everything, so you can get rid of them, but all you can do is change the transparency of a specific image now. You cannot make it an image or things will look very screwed up. The words, the spectrum, all of that uses the same image and so things look very screwed up if you make it an image, so you can make the black windows transparent. but like people are talking about, is the contrast while sunlight is glaring into your screen. IF you ditch the black boxes, your gonna have trouble reading things. No mater what background you chose, unless its pitch black. Which is why I'm sticking with 50% transparency. So you can still see the background and your music with no problems.


Guys, trust me on this, you guys are going to love MMC1. Ben and I are staying up late every night to get this program running right. We have a new skin engine which requires a newer .net then you guys can get right now, All it changed is it makes everything on the file thats transparent (if you open it up in photoshop) is invisible. So you must have photoshop. But I'm workin on making it so you dont want to change anything. By the time were done, the new .net should be released by microsoft to the public and we'll include that with the install of MMC.

Color me stupid, but where did the power cable come from? I just picked up the XMD unit yesterday (before they decide to pull it ) as part of my plan, but I know it ships with nothing other than the receiver and the antenna.

I assume you had to go to Radio Shack and pick up some kind of BS 12V power source or something?

And we really need an XM folder on the root of this place... there's no reason for this to be buried all the way down here...

XM isn't burried dude...lol...do a search. XM is everywheres. This cable comes with the power supply for home. XMD isn't made for home use...or computer use, so we have to make it work. There are 3 pins on the XMD cable made to push out 12V and ground and ACC 12V for the Commander unit you can get with XMCommander. And so since you have to make or buy a built cable from one of us, we made it so that you can power the XMD this way. The XMCommander Tuner box is a little different then the XMDirect, it comes with a power connector for 12V, ACC12V and GND. So we can use the 3 pins on the XMD connector that are made to power a small reciever unit, to power the Tuner.

Hybrid Mobile made this Direct Link Cable so that it has a power supply with it, for home use. And they send you a 12V 200mA power supply. Its quite nifty.
