I personally had to dig through a dozen threads to find out what I needed, then I happened by sheer luck upon that post by hybrid-mobile. I ordered the cable right away, and just like you I had no idea that it came with a power supply. I'm still waiting for the cable, but at least now I know that the piece of the puzzle to deal with the power to the XMD is solved (I'm using a laptop for now, so I couldn't use a molex connector).

All I'm saying is that this is relevant to MMC because it supports XM, but somebody should sticky info like this along with helpful links down further... there are people out there that don't get this far down on the forums, that's all.

There are pinouts for this cable in the hardware development forum.
As well as links to buy it at hybridmobile and elsewhere.

ok nFiniteTuning, if you want to have the "aqua" look of the iMac you have to stick to the principle of its design. liquid has no sharp edges, and your button does. tho straight lines that divide sections are fine, single colors with width more than 3 pixel size will look dull and use black sparingly. you can have your own version of it, but if design is Apple inspired, it has to be right, that is what makes apple design sophisticated. can't wait for the final one, i also use mmc.

There are black boxes over everything, so you can get rid of them, but all you can do is change the transparency of a specific image now. You cannot make it an image or things will look very screwed up. The words, the spectrum, all of that uses the same image and so things look very screwed up if you make it an image, so you can make the black windows transparent. but like people are talking about, is the contrast while sunlight is glaring into your screen. IF you ditch the black boxes, your gonna have trouble reading things. No mater what background you chose, unless its pitch black. Which is why I'm sticking with 50% transparency. So you can still see the background and your music with no problems.

Guys, trust me on this, you guys are going to love MMC1. Ben and I are staying up late every night to get this program running right. We have a new skin engine which requires a newer .net then you guys can get right now, All it changed is it makes everything on the file thats transparent (if you open it up in photoshop) is invisible. So you must have photoshop. But I'm workin on making it so you dont want to change anything. By the time were done, the new .net should be released by microsoft to the public and we'll include that with the install of MMC.
Yes I understand that part but I should've explained my question a bit more. Is it possible in the current version to get the transparency to 50%? I would like to have them 50% right now if that is possible. I understand it's not only photoshop (hence they would've already been transparent if it was that simple)...

Rob, That is 50% Transparency. You can change transparency levels by opening one of the files in the new skinning system (you guys dont have it and wont until V1 is released) into photoshop or anything that can edit a .png file. You then have to change the transparency from 50% which will be stock setting, to whatever you want, you can make it darker by lifting the number higher, or you can make it lighter or make the black go away all together by going with a lower number or 0%. I will post a How-To about skinning MMC a week or so after MMC1 is released. So look forward to that.

Thanks guys for the idea's on the clean buttons. I am going to do that as soon as Ben and I fix some other transparency issues were having with the new skin engine. The reason I'm asking for these opinions, is because I want MMC1 to be released looking soo nice and clean, that you wont want to skin it, you'll want to leave it how it came, but have the option of skinning it if you choose. So once again, after Version 1 is released, look forward for my How-To on the proper skinning methods.

Why no mention of GPS in the spreadsheet?
because of the need to rewrite the core for version 2, it is best to create the GPS feature on that platform rather than spending too much time on adding modules to ver1. this is why we locked down to those features on the list... we will continue to make ver 1 bug free and have everything that list states. however, there will be continued ver 1 releases that add portions of ver 2 archeticture....

you have to look at it this way: if you build a house not knowing anything about home building, when you get to the end of the project, it might not be perfect....but you will know were you made mistakes and could have done a better job. version 2 will be the new house.... only its a mansion!!....

I would second the need for a GPS option at least. Also thanks for keeping this free. I see that you guys are going to SEMA which should give alot of exposure for you and this hobby. Oh yea, one more thing, that lady on your website with the red eyes is freaky looking (not in a good way)
