Thanks. Didn't realize that that was a newer update than an earlier post. It's another improvement. Considering it's an Alpha, it's turning out real good.

My requests above still apply but I would like to add: the ability to go full-screen with a movie (embedded looks nice but I may at times want to go full-screen).

I have noticed two bugs but I can't get them to always reproduce themselves.
    1. I made the Play/Pause button disappear when switching from a movie back to the list.
    2. I had the "Now Playing" bar disappear when trying to click on a file. I would not be able to select the file and everything would move up (taking up the space of the 'Now Playing' bar). Clicking again would return the bar, move the list down, but still not allow me to select a file. This would repeat when I go to the Vis and come back or the front-end screen. Had to shutdown MMC.

    First error mate
ystem.Data.SyntaxErrorException: Syntax error: Missing operand after 'S' operator.
did that song have a aposterphe in its title? does it give you that error on the same song every time...if it does copy the title exactly how it appears for us.

Ben (hybridengineer), did we fix the aposterphe issue on this last build?

OK that last release seemed to fix everything, database builds fine, no bogging down, crackling or anything, and the visuals are very smooth. Before I go on, I have to say I love this program so don't be offended by my list of demands!

OK there HAS to be a way to do directory browsing, with 890 albums, 1700 different artists and I'm not about to click the songs Icon to try and deal with that, it's simply impossible to find anything without running into the car in front of me... I don't do genres... so yeah directory browsing is a must... I keep all my music in a "music type/artist/album" directory structure, along with most people I know...

When you've got all the music listed out, there should be buttons to scroll full screen/page down, also the single down button should be auto when you hold it down.

Also, there should be a select button somewhere as it's difficult to fat finger a text listing while your driving.

I'm guessing that you'll be able to specify a Videos directory? Just not implemented yet? I keep my videos in a seperate folder to keep things organized.

If I don't have an alternative to TouchXM immediately I'm going to vomit in my car (yes I hate TouchXM that much, what kind of evil programmer gives you a radio program with no channel up/down). If you guy's give me XM control soon, I'll give you my first born... Ok, I kind of love my kid so... maybe the second one when I have him/her....

This is my list of basic functionality thats missing (ok maybe XM isn't that basic, but you'd be the first to my knowledge to bring that to the table), basically to be truly usable while mobile, this is what I'd need (probably others to, but I can't speak for anyone but myself).

Now that thats out of the way, I have to say I love the layout and visual style to this application. You guys seem to be busting your humps to make it work, it's very much appreciated.

Mine shows the splash screen and then crashes. It worked once, then no more. But from the first time, it looked cool

I would love to see a Jump feature. Hit a button, and type in a song and it jumps to that file. It is basically essential because it is impossible to scroll through 3,000+ files to find a song.

Other than that.. it looks like this software is going to be close to perfect. You guys are really working hard, keep up the good work!

    Thanks Everyone

I just wanted to personally thank everyone for the nice words. I also wanted to say thanks for all the great feedback. We are working very hard to make this system easy to use and the definitive car pc software.

We are taking all suggestions and they have been added to internal todo list. The jump feature being an important one. We are also trying to think of innovative ways for navigating thru the screens and such.

We will keep you posted as features are added and updates are ready.

    Thanks again everyone!

What is the error message you are receiving? Can you post a screen shot or the statuslog.txt file from the root install folder?

    Thanks

    Very nice program!!
    Just a few things...
A differant directory option for videos.
hide the mouse cursor on full screen visualizations.
make the buttons interactive (make it so you can see when you press the button)
Most of what was said before, especially the scrolling suggestions.
Thanks!!! This software is going to be awesome!!
